Orlando hits the West End
« on: May 10, 2007, 07:41:32 am »

Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom is reportedly set to make his West End debut in the summer.

The Lord Of The Rings star is due to appear in playwright David Storey's 1969 drama, In Celebration, which is expected to open in London in July.

The play trails three brothers, who travel back to Yorkshire for their parents' 40th wedding anniversary.

Although an opening date is still to be set, the show is expected to be held at Trafalgar Studios.

Despite starring in big Hollywood blockbusters like Pirates Of The Caribbean and Kingdom Of Heaven, the star has previously appeared in stage productions of The Seagull, Twelfth Night and The Trojan Woman.

Orlando is due to appear in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End on May 24.

I imagine it would be a nice change from Hollywood to go onstage. Good plays are awesome!

I think it will be good for him. Stage acting will stretch and challenge his skills in a way that movie acting doesn't.

I've also heard a rumour that he is going to get naked in this play.

The only thing that upsets me is that I cannot go. I have no money and going to the theatre is a seriosuly expensive business. I had to miss out on seeing Daniel Radcliffe in Equus as well due to no money. I can't even afford the train ticket to London.

Gotta agree with you, girl! And I know he'll do a great work.

This is on OLove:
Orlando Bloom, soon to appear in the West End, may get naked. He says: ďThereís nothing wrong with a little bit of nudity. Iím not sure Iíll be getting all my bits and pieces out, though.Ē

XDDDDDDDD

Oh man, I hate it too. And I have no way AT ALL to go, since I live in freaking Brazil... *kicks country*
