Let Us Know What LOTR Stuff You Have.

I don't know if this topic has been done already or not and if so the mods can merge the to it wont bother me any.

So let us what LOTR things you have collected.

I have:

A dagger like the one that Frodo  carried throught the movies with elvish writing on it too. I bought it for $25.00. It is hanging over the fireplace in the livingroom. I thought about placing a blue light behind it like it is glowing blue for Orc coming. It is one of my prized possesions.

I also have a double sided theatre poster I bought at the theatre when I went to see ROTK. I asked the guy that owns/runs the theatre how much he would sell me one right off the wall and I bought mine for $15.00. I would like to find real double side theatre posters from FOTR and TTT too. I want to place them in frames and hang them with my dagger. This poster is another of my prized possesions and for now it is safley rolled up in my closet.

A dear friend bought me this Christmas a LOTR jigsaw puzzle (wont open it).

The same dear friend gave to me a few Christmases ago a tv guide with a picture of Frodo  on the front.

That same dear friend also gave me for a Christmas gift a computer program thing with LOTR on it. Now I have two of them. She didn't know I already had one.

My hubby bought for me for Christmas a few years ago a book that teaches you how to speak elvish.
He also bought that same Christmas a box with all the characters (action figures) in it including Bilbo (I wont open it).

I bought at a renisaunce(sp) festival a ring like the "One Ring". It is in my jewelry box.

I bought a bookmark with a picture of Frodo  on it and the "One Ring" on a tassle tied to the bookmark.

I bought a box of LOTR gaming dice (wont open it).

I bought a LOTR gaming board (wont open it).

I bought a box of ROTK Valentine cards that our dog chewed up so I went and bought a new box (wont open it).

I bought a soundtrack cd of each movie. Wanted to buy all the soundtracks of all the movies (each soundtrack has different pictures on them). But my hubby says i didn't need all of them so I just picked one from each movie (wont open them).

I have all sorts of pictures of LOTR, the characters, Frodo/Lij  . I have more of Frodo/Lij  than I do any of the other characters and actors. I even have a signed autograph picture of Lij  . All my pictures are either cut outs or I printed them off the computer.

I have a cereal box (corn pops) with a picture of Frodo  and Gimli on it. Of course we ate the cereal but I kept the box.

I have all sorts of magazines and newspaper clippings about the LOTR movies, characters, and actors.

I bought at a Goodwill store a Gollum figurine toy climbing a stone wall (wont open it). I bought it for $1.99.

I have all 3 LOTR books even though they belong to a friend and I have had them for a few years now.

I have all 3 of the LOTR movies on dvd extended editions my hubby bought for me for Christmas each year they came out. They are also one of my prized possesions.

I even bought a dvd with Tolkien himself on talking about his work, LOTR, the Hobbit, the characters, his schooling, and how he made the elvish language and others. It is pretty interesting and cool.

I have some LOTR toy figurines you get inside of Happy Meals.

I have a set of clear drinking glasses that lights up with the LOTR characters on the sides.

I have found a dress pin that was my mom's. It looks like the elvish pins that the Hobbits wore on their capes throught the moives. I keep it in my jewelry box with my ring.

I think that is about it. Without getting off my lazy butt and seeing. The funny thingis that I didn't like or want to see FOTR when it was first out. Till a year or two later I broke down and watched it. That is when I fell in love with it and it's characters and the actors. I didn't even know that Lij  existed till then (shame on me). I didn't even know the stories existed either (shame on me again). And when I started to collect LOTR stuff ROTK was out then and all I could find was ROTK stuff and not FOTR or TTT stuff.

Anyway I am still building my collection and next to my hubby, kids, brother and his family, my parents, and God LOTR, Frodo/Lij  is my life. Since I found them I have found a new side of me I didn't know existed. Now I also Love and collect dragons, wizards, swords and daggers, and midevil things.

I am planning on making a space to display my LOTR stuff like I do already with my dragon's, swords, and wizards that are on my mantel above my fireplace. In fact I have so much of it too that I have no more room on my mantle for anymore.

So let us hear what all you have with LOTR stuff.

I only have a Gandalf figure and a light up glass, and a dateplanner, but I want one of the figures of Frodo, I want the one that 's 12" tall, cuz he can help my 12" tall MJ out w/ pretecting me, and a reg. size fig. to hold in my hand LOL, tried to score a bookmark w/ him but there weren't any hanging up LOL, I'll keep looking, too. But I am trying score anything w/ Frodo on it. I wish I had a Zanny one of him, and a Zanny one of MJ that were lifesize but by lifesize I mean Frodo as tall as EW.

I don't have alot, but I have a couple things:

1.) My sister bought me a beautiful bound copy of the complete LOTR. It is red cover...and you get a view of it in the extra details of the movies. Very nice!

2.) I have an lovely hand done painting of Frodo & Sean watching the elves leave middle earth. It was done by an Austrialia lady name Anne...you can view it by going here http://pic6.piczo.com/AnnesFrodoArtEtcetera/?g=28457363&cr=6
The painting safely arrived a week or so ago...now I just have to get a nice frame for it. Anne is SUCH a talented lady! It is my prized possession. Anne also sent me some lovely pictures of painting she has done too...so I plan to get them framed as well.

3.) I have a nice copy bound copy of The Hobbit too.

4.) LOTR Sketchbook, by Alan Lee

That is about it, my lovelies!

Yes, Anne is a talented lady! I "bumped" into her on the A&F boxie and explored her homepage....and was duly impressed. So I "chatted" with her to see if she did commissions...and she did! The rest is history! Now I just have to get it nicely framed and mounted on my wall.

I have more HP/Star Wars things than LotR, but I'm gonna work on that, cuz Frodo can't be neglected, and I'm sure I can still get some things I missed, it's not hard to go online. My brother has an E-bay acct. if I do find something I can't live w/o but usually I don't have the $$ to get it.

I basically have tons of things. Lol. I've been a LotR fan forever, so I've amassed a large collection over the years.

I've got multiple copies of all the books, including a red leather-bound edition. I have an English, German, and illustrated versions of LotR, the Hobbit, and the Silmarillion. And I also have most of the other books Tolkien wrote. I have a lot of books/magazines about the making of the movies, too. I think "Weapons and Warfare" may be my favorite.

I've had LotR calendars for the past 4 years now, whether wall, desk, or even illustrated versions. I have a lot of LotR posters, as well. Some I have bought, and some I've gotten from movie theaters (I work at one). I also have a lot of magazine cutouts and such, and a large map of Middle Earth.

I have a ton of action figures... too many, in fact. Haha. They are set up all over my room. I also have a Frodo doll, and a Frodo cardboard cutout in my room.

I have some banners that friends have made for me: one a Rohan banner, and one a Mines of Moria banner that glows in the dark. Those are up on my walls, along with paintings of the Tree of Gondor and a Hobbit Hole that I did myself.

I have multiple copies of the movies, too, of course. VHS, DVD, Extended DVD... yeah, I've got 'em. I have all the soundtracks, too (looooove them!).

I also have LotR Risk and LotR trivial pursuit. They're really fun to play!

Some of my favorite things that aren't so common that I have are:
-a silver "One Ring" that I got for my 16th birthday
-an Elven brooch
-pictures from LotR locations in NZ (I went there 2 years ago)
-a picture of the Party Tree signed by Billy Boyd (met him at the LotR Symphony 2 years ago)
-a "hobbit scarf" that I got in New Zealand from the place where they made the Elven cloaks in the movies
-3 pieces of film from a LotR reel that are in a stone display that I got from Trilogy Tuesday a few years back
-an Arwen dress that my grandma and I made
-an invitation to Bilbo's birthday party that LotR calligrapher Daniel Reeve wrote out for me
-Arwen's sword, Hadhafang, which my boyfriend bought me this past Christmas
-and finally, I have a tattoo in Elvish around my wrist that Daniel Reeve wrote for me, which says: "All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."

.... I guess I have a lot. I feel really geeky now. Lol.

Hmm let's see...

Apart from the movies and the books I have a couple of LOTR calendars (a gift from a very special friend), those cute little Kinder Surprise figures that came out a few years ago, as well as a few posters and magazines.
