I was reading the first book about 2 years ago but I forgot to take it with myself to the US. and it was hard for me to read it in English. Harry Potter is easy but not LOTR. very heavy....and when I came back I tired to read it but i realized i don't like the books. only the movies or maybe only FRODO!

I do admit that my collection has been put away but that's because I couldn't move in my bedroom and also they're safer where the are now

I'm still a huge fan of the books and the films and I'll always be. I'm sure I'll show my children the books and films one day. They remain very special to me.
I'm probably reread the bbooks once in a while, but not every year like Cristiel .
The story is just so timeless and wonderful!

There is something special about LOTR, the trilogy is a piece of art. And of course I love Elijah as Frodo...
I also love Star Wars (especially old episodes 4-6 , Back to the future trilogy... etc. Some movies just never "wear out"! You can watch them over and over again... and still you love 'em!

Hubby and I take out the books once a year , last year we got through the Hobbit then started FOTR....... but never finished..... so this year I have a feeling we'll pick up FOTR and go from there. We like to get cozy in the dead of the winter , next to the fire going , and read to each other. We've done this for 30 years....

Quote from: chuckie3d on November 11, 2006, 06:11:53 pm About a year ago, a number of us started reading LotR together. For this, I made a schedule so that everyone would be able to follow.
You can still find the schedule and the discussion thread in the book section.

I'm still love LOTR althought I don't re-read the book or see the movies. But I'm still fascinated with the music of the soundtracks. I hope I buy them soon.

i still love the movies like hell. i have seen The Fellowship Of the Ring yesterday...AGAIN! i love the trilogy! the movies are my favorites! i talk lots about lotr with my friends, have a lotr guide with the pictures of the movies (really cute pics!) and i am reading the The Two Towers..But i'm stuck and i've been reading the part i am now, for like a year but i still am very passionate about them. LOTR is my life! and without lotr i probably wouldn't know elijah :/ so i should be a shamed if i wasn't that passionate any more... lotr is my life!
