Hobbits wanted for Rings musical

Producers of the Lord of the Rings musical are on the look out for actors - preferably with "hobbit-like tendencies" who can sing two songs.
Auditions are to be held to find 20 hobbits for the musical, ahead of its move to London's Theatre Royal in 2007.
Potential applicants should be under 5ft 7ins (170cm) and aged 16-35. Hairy toes and feet are a "distinct advantage," said producers.

I will give the hobbit thing it a miss. I'm 5.8.  but i wonder if they could do with some elves???

I am 5 feet 2 and under 35, but I am not sure 5 feet 2 is short enough plus I cannot sing to save my life, LOL.
I might go and see this when it opens, it depends how much the tickets cost.

If the LOTR musical was closed in Toronto, so the cast and crew will be replaced, too? I guess that the musical has not received good critics after all.

wish I could pack up and head to london....i'm 5'2" and I can sing, well enough fo rmy own people...but I don't know any songs for great halls or evil times.....yada yada..not to mention the problems with work , family ect.
oh and I forgot..I exceed the maximum hobbit age limit, come on Bilbo was in his 50s when he got his start..right?
and the ring has preserved me....rather well I might add.

Check The LOTR musical page. There are pictures of the Fellowship and a video about the musical. Now the show will be in London on May 9th.
With the exception of Frodo(James Loye) the other Hobbits look very weird and not so cute as the movie-Hobbits.
