Hey, I didn't know that Sean had another thread here but he deserves it for this movie!

This one is going to be great! I just hope it gets wide release so we can all see it right away.
But if it doesn't, we can see it on dvd.
We're still waiting on "Thanks to Gravity" that he made the same time he did "Smile". Of course, he didn't star in that one like he does in TFS.
Hugs, Rach

I thought having a distributor meant it would get a wide release
(psst...I'm at wk now & must sign off but just wanted to ask that)

Not necessarily. They could choose to put it in just a few theaters to see what the reaction is. I can see the logic in that. Several of the movies Sean is in, though none in which he has been the main character, have gone to limited release and never hit wide release, Marilyn Hotchkiss, What Love Is, My Wife is Retarded (a short that has won several awards and in which he DOES star) and a couple of others.
I hate when they do that because then the film NEVER comes to a little town like the one in which I live, but that DOES usually mean it will come to dvd eventually.
I'm still holding out for wide release of this one, though. It's gotten very good reviews.
Hugs, Rach

I don't mean to cause offense to anyone but I am not sure how much of a household name Sean has ever been here in the UK. To be honest I think it is only the LOTR fans who have heard of him. People who just saw the films casually probably don't know who he is. I certainly don't know anyone in real life who has heard of him.

Oh, we were meaning in the US, I'm sure. I think he's more of a star here, though I have lots of Sean fan friends in the UK, too.
I doubt the Final Season will make him a household name in the UK since it's a baseball movie, but perhaps Borderland will.

Ah no Baseball doesn't exactly have a big following over here.

Well, I know Sean's movies are hard to find over there. I used to send my VHS copies to a friend in Europe when I replaced them with dvds. That's sad. He has a vast array or varied work, all of it excellent. When you said he wasn't well knonw there it actually made my heart hurt. *sigh
TFS is getting wonderful reviews, however, and I think it's really going to be something special! I hope my English friends will at least have the opportunity to see it.

Thank the lord for the internet. It really is the only way to keep in touch with news about Sean, and Elijah too for that matter. If it wasn't for the net it would be like they didn't exist most of the time.

Oh wow...lots of Sean threads!!! Good work everyone! Maybe if a buzz is created....TFS will get wide release. Oh boy...that would be great! I live in a small town too....so unless it is wide release....I probably wouldn't get to see it in theaters.
Heh heh...I keep forgetting that baseball is really an American sport. But you are right, Rach....Borderland might reach our English Sean fans. Although it seems a "leetle" grim for me....not sure I will be able to stomach it....it must be admitted that I am a bit of a wuss sometimes. But I am sure Sean is sensational in it.
