AAAH! I wish i could have choose two of them!
...
As i could only vote for one, i choose the one at the end of ROTK, when Sam said "Rosie's dancing..etc"
Actually it's more for Elijah's performance that i like this scene.
Just because at that moment, when Sam said "if i had to mary someone, it would have been her!" (sorry if there is a mistake in the quote, but it's been a while since last time i saw it.  ), at that moment, he suddenly realise that he has lost Sam's life.
I mean.. you know, steal it and use it for something else than what it was meant for.
Maybe i'm completly wrong, but that's how i felt this way he had to look at Sam..
And that's why i think this scene is really beautifull for Frodo.
The second one i wanted to vote for is the one when Sam thinks that Frodo is dead..
It's just so emotionaly (does this word exists? i'm french..  ) powerful the way he says "you're not sleeping.. you're dead."
Sooooo sad.. Soooo beautiful.. Just love that part.
(And i love Sean Astin for that.. He is such a good actor!)

The scene in ROTK when Sam says "Rosie Cotton dancing...". The way he says "she had ribbons in her hair" is so sad.

wow Rose, you always have the BEST idea's for threads!
It was a very tough choice, but I chose mt Doom...just so moving and so happy...yet sad...it gives us hope...you think "Oh no they're going to give up, don't give up" and then Sam talks and it's like "Yes you can do it! Go! go!"

that was just such a beautiful scene, although, my favorite wasn't on there..u had part of it though. where when sam runs into the water and then he drowns, and it shows frodos hand under the water. i thought that was so beautiful, and then how they hug on the boat it makes me cry every time

That was a really hard question because I love all Sam and Frodo scencs.
I chose Mount Doom, because it's so sad when Sam talks about Rosie. "If I was to marry someone it would of been her" and when Frodo says " I'm glad to be here with you Samwise Gamgee, at the end of all things" is really sad.
I picked that over when Sam runs into the water to go after Frodo because it shows how much he cares for Frodo and that he can't go anywhere without him. When they are hugging each other in the boat makes me cry.

Oh my gosh, Rose. Do you really expect any of us to choose only one?  I would have to agree with Charlotte's choice: "Do you remember The Shire..." and Frodo's reply "No, Sam, I can't recall the taste of food..." That and "I am glad to be with you, Samwise Gamgee, here at the end of all things" tear me apart. Those and, oh so many others because Sam and Frodo's friendship is so important to the story. And I think their scenes together are where both Sean and Elijah shine the brightest in all three films.
HOWEVER, having said all that, I am totally destroyed by the parting at the Grey Havens. I have watched the ROTK EE over 20 times and I still cry buckets of tears every time that scene comes up.

really great thread! 
I love all of the sam and frodo scenes ofcourse but I voted for "When Sam cradles the cobweb bound Frodo and thinks Frodo is dead"
It always makes me cry, especielly the look on sam“s face and aww it“s so sad..
but I always loved the part threre they say bye to eachother in rotk, when frodo had to go to the grey havens..
