I identify so much with Frodo's character. I've been through some tough times in my life and didn't start to bring it around again until I met my three other greatest friends, my sams and merrys and pippins...i always liken it to my journey, my burden that I had to carry until I could cast it away...I liken coming to college as my grey havens because it is where I finally found peace with my own self.

Otherwise, I just love the friendship between all of the hobbits, especially as in the LOTR movies....because it mirrors the closeness of my own...and the phenomenon being one of the members of our hobbit-club living in Oklahoma, I haven't even met her in person but she is as close to the others of us as if she was here in flesh...it is amazing what friendship can be.

I like Sam the most, after Frodo, of course!  As for the other two, I believe that I like them equally as well.  It's as though the four of them started out on equal footing.

Then Frodo elevated himself by being so d*mn fine, eager to please and serve, and so very brave.  And, of course, Sam elevated himself by his selfless dedication to making sure that Frodo was as safe as possible, and as helped to complete his mission as anyone could ever be.
