That's true deenan . I came to know about Elijah and because of Elijah I came to know about A+F......and because of that I came to know about wonderful people like you

Congratulations!!! That is for sure a very special memory of LOTR...
For me it would be the feeling of anticipation before the release of each of the movies..., the great experience of sharing my admiration for them with most of my friends (including my boyfriend), and of course, the chance of joining this forum and meeting you...

all the fun times at ROTK in theaters, making me realise i was obsessed with it, and making me realise how HOT Dom, Elijah, Orlando were...
and it made me closer with my friends that allready liked it...and I met my other best friend, Erin (xXMeriadocXx)
AND because of my Elijah/Dom/Orlando obsession, I found this site!
many things happen when you find TRUE LOVE

LotR has helped me to see that I can have huge dreams, and then do something to make them come true-Flummmoxed
What you said says it all for me too... I read the books almost 30 years ago ( before Elijah was born!) My husband and I courted on LOTR. and we watched how Lord of the Rings became not that popular in the culture... and we were saddened... then PJ came along and POW! the movies have turned JRRTolkien's society and his world back into a large hit again... I'm sure we will see it wain again... but we will remain loyal only this time we will have all of the movies to sustain us. As far as dreams are concerned... 2 years ago when I was in the hospital.. in emergency room, with chest pains and my legs so painful and I didn't know what was happening to me and I didn't know if I'd ever walk again... LOTR helped me" carry" my "ring" until I got to my "Mt Doom". In my case I carried the burden of getting from a wheelchair to crutches to a cain to now working full time with the aid of walking tools ( cane, wheelchair sometimes, crutches) but you know without using Frodo and "what would Frodo do... " to help me in my scariest times, my darkest hours when doctors were telling me what procedures had to be done and I was lying there ...waiting... Howard Shore's music and reading the books got me through my hospital visits and ultimate convalescense. I had to work hard but I had to dream and LOTR helped me to say I will do it..... It has changed my life....I can't go back "for some hurts go to deep" mine are too deep yet , just like Frodo .... I go on.....Thanks Frodo... Thanks JRR Tolkien.. thanks to all of you who I have had the pleasure of sharing my thoughts with ... I almost feel like I've known you all for "an age"....

this is a good topic! last year, when ROTK came out, the month before, I had a comeover with my friend twice in one week, to watch the 1st two LOTR movies. I remember just having fun, eating snacks and watching those movies. It always is the very best the first time u see a movie!! My favorite mem, was on the last day of school for christmas holdidays me and jess (xXxjessiexXx) went to see ROTK! it was so crowded in the theater, and we just had soooo much fun! after that we had a sleepover and talked about all our favorite parts, and characters... frodo for me, legolas for her deep into the night, we also listened to the soundtrack then too. It was just soo much fun! i love the first time u see something, espeically ROTK, it's like magical or something how awesome it is! LoTR will defenitly always have a place in my heart! always and forever!
