Samwise is my favorite character, because i think everyone needs a samwise in their life. Someone who is loyal and will stand by your side no matter where it takes them.
there is this one samwise quote in which i live by to keep me going through life even when times are hard. I tear up when i watch this scene and yet im inspired as well.
I think its the longest and most powerful.
Sam: It's like in the great stories Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end it's only a passing thing this shadow, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines it'll shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something even if you were too small to understand why. But I think Mr. Frodo, I do understand, I know now folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Sam: That there's some good in the world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.

Oh my gosh, I love that quote! It's a beautiful part, and it brought tears to my eyes the first time I watched it, and still does alot of times. I love it, and yeah, it helps me out alot too. It is very powerful. Thanks for posting it! 
That's definitley one of my favs, but one of my other favs is when he says
"Come on Mr. Frodo. I can't carry it for you, but I can carry you!" Oh my gosh... that was amazing. He is such a loyal friend, and I agree with you, everyone should have at least one friend like that. If only all my friends were that loyal, it'd be amazing. But I'm grateful for the two I have!

To me, the best quote Sam ever said was this:

I love all the quotes people listed, but as far as the book goes, THIS is my fave. Not a Sam quote, it was about him though. They were in Mordor.
"His will was set and only death would break it."
So poetic.
