There seems to be an increasing trend in the area of google Image search...I clicked on an Eowyn pic and got one of those.....disgusting..pics. I have also seen some on this board...so just a warning...make sure if you post anything from google you know exactly what it is

No, it`s about really sadistic pics! I posted a very nice Lij-pic and it turned into another one right after posting! 
Very strange! 
And those modified pics have nothing to do with Elijah or someone else! They are disgusting!

The reason why pictures are turning into gross images is because people are hot-linking.
Girls, don't direct link to images unless you've uploaded them yourself. It uses up others' bandwidth and if they're pissed off enough about it, they will upload nasty images to replace the ones you stole off the site.

I've had this happen on Google, Yahoo, & Live Journal. I'll click a link and it'll start to bring up what I click, but then a "FREE PORN!" site will come up in its place.
'Tis a shame.

makes sense - I did wonder for a moment if it wasn't about bandwidth
but that's just a nasty punishing way! I've seen cases where the image gets replaced by rude disclaimers, but never porn - weird.

I'm assuming the questionable picture that caused this thread was probably the Goatse picture. It's a disturbing picture of... never mind. It's just acid-burning-your-eyes horrible. It's the one ***MOON*** accidentally posted. So listen to your mod and find your own servers, or we could be subjected to that again. ::shudder::
