Dakota Fanning is already Jane in the movie and people are looking for someone to be Alec, Jane's brother. Elijah is one of the choices for Alec! I sort of agree with that.  I never got into Twilight.  I like the choices that Elijah has always made in films - independant, quirky things - and I think Twilight would slightly diminish him as an actor, as well as not providing him with the opportunity to really act, (as opposed to just standing around and saying a line of bad, clichéd dialogue every now and again.)
