Interesting question. I've devolped a laugh a bit like Elijah's...although on me it just sounds like some insane girl having a fit

I have never noticed how much Lij says awesome, but I say awesome a lot too. I also like music a lot so I think that applies to this. BTW don't feel bad Vic I have that same funny laugh at times!

Mmm... I don´t think so, specially considering that English is not my first language... But he has opened my mind to other kind of music, so different from what I usually listen to, if that counts...

There are probably a couple of things that I say more often due to Elijah's influence. One that I know is directly related to him is my usage of the word "indeed". That's become a regular part of my vocabulary now. Also, I tend to use "passionate" to express things for which other folks might use "obsessed", lol. I have heard him use both words, but I honestly don't think I use passionate because he does; rather I use it because I think there is a distinct difference between being intense involved in or drawn to something (or someone) in a healthy way and truly being obsessed, which is never healthy. I began using "passionate" to explain to other folks why I was so involved in the LOTR fandom, and why I had seen the films so many times, so my increased exposure to Elijah certainly influenced my use of the word.

Lith, when i read your post, i realized that yes, he does use the word "passionate" a lot. i never really zoomed in on that one word. but since you mentioned it, yes, you are so right. so now, everytime he uses it, i will think of you,

I've noticed that, especially in the LOTR commentaries, he uses "initially" "essentially" and "ultimately" a LOT. Plus he mis-procounces things like "Hollowin" instead of "Halloween", and "Libary" instead of "Library". Not that that's influences me any. Just thought I'd point that out.
What I do realize, though, because of him, is that I must be vain and narcissistic because I do look a lot like him, in the eyes especially. The similarities seem to be greater every day. In fact just the other day I looked in the mirror and made that expression he made behind the bars and it was just....spooky.

Not so much his expressions influence me - the way he speaks is his own sweet way, I don't tend to imitate him in this. But I really look up to his so many qualities - he is totally my hero and my inspiration to becoming a better person. I admire the way he treats people, his tolerance, his decisiveness, his... Well, I could go on for long . So this is his qualities that I would like to inherit, too.

I don't speak english as my native language... so I don't have any expressions from Lij. I probably would though if I spoke english everyday...

There’s a little clip in The Return of the King Appendices, From Book to Film, in the section on Mount Doom where Peter Jackson is showing Elijah how the fight with Gollum to get the ring back should have a ‘push-me-pull-you’ sort of feel, and Elijah is nodding and saying: “Yeah, yep...” Well, when my boss asks me to do something at work, I find myself agreeing with exactly the same nod and intonation as Elijah. But I’m not sure which came first – me responding like that and then recognising the same intonation in Elijah, or the other way round....if that makes sense! But hey, anything that reminds me of Elijah when I'm at work always lightens my day and cheers me up!
Lith – In which Happy Feet interview did George Miller make the quote about Elijah that’s in your sig? Do you have a link to it, please?
