Well, firstly, I was at the gig on my own (I'm 46 and well used to going to gigs on my own as my husband and friends don't share my musical tastes!  ) so I wouldn't have been able to get a photo of the two of us without asking some stranger and drawing attention to the fact that Elijah was there - which I didn't want to do.
Secondly, as I said, I didn't think it would be an appropriate place and time for a photo. I have a camera at home I could have taken. I chose not to. I didn't want to meet Elijah to get 'proof' so other people would believe me, I wanted to meet him because I respect and admire him and wanted to give him a CD.
Maybe someone else met him there too and has a photo? He was wearing a white T-shirt and had a long red cord round his neck with what I presumed to be a backstage pass on it.
But whether people believe my account or not is neither here nor there to me, to be honest. I know I've met him, I'll treasure the experience, and I wanted to share it with others on this board - end of story. :shrug:

Thank you so much for sharing your experience of meeting Elijah. It was a lovely account and really made my day. Can't understand why a couple of people find it so totally unbelievable that Elijah would be at a GB gig.  It has been known to happen and he has been known to talk to fans at those gigs. So no photographic evidence is required as far as I'm concerned. Now if you stated you and your husband had a foursome with Elijah and Pam, then OK, then that might be just a tad unbelievable!

I think this is a believable account and want to thank Plutonic for sharing. I personally never carry a camera and if I had one would not have used it under the circumstances she described. Many years ago, my sister-in-law and I were in a restaurant in Atlantic City seated near boxing promoter Don King. We acknowledged him but didn't ask for his autograph or picture although others nearby did and it certainly would not have occurred to me to snap his picture while he was eating dinner.

Yep, I never met an Elijah fan in person too, which is bummer... All my friends and family think I am a bit crazy...

Sorry that offends you Plutonic. But frankly, I've encountered too many liars with agendas and sockpuppets to simply believe any such encounter without proof, from someone relatively unknown. Too many similar accounts have been faked, even in submissions to the media.
It wouldn't matter who was in such an account, or what they were doing. If it could belong to anyone with an agenda, then I don't take it seriously until it's backed up by evidence or someone who definitely has no agenda. (IE, I didn't believe the public gay snogging accounts, or the Lolita model reports)
I don't think that's too unreasonable. It's hardly a crime to simply not take the word of any person who signs onto a board...

I've seen Elijah at two Gogol Bordello shows (and smooching with Pamela  ), it's been known to happen. I don't think anyone would need to make that up.
I'm so glad you got to meet him, and it's great that you didn't push to get a photo with him, or call attention to him. The guy's just trying to relax and enjoy himself.

According to two reports, Elijah was at the Manchester GB gig on Tuesday, as well. No smooching sighted in those, though; just taking photos and enjoying himself.

Oh, they would. And do. At least three have been nabbed for it, because apparently they felt that people might get the wrong idea if they weren't seen together often enough. They claimed that Elijah was with Pamela and so very very affectionate, when one or both was confirmed somewhere else. They've since gone on to, shall we say, new web names.
I guess Elijah's streak is continuing, seeing GB whenever he's in the area, though not elsewhere.

Thanks for taking the time to share that with us Plutonic. I bet he shared that CD with Eugene afterwards... 
Now, at the great risk of exposing myself to attack for mentioning that Elijah appeared at yet another GB concert (shock! horror!  ) I thought some of you might like to know there are a couple of cute pics of him the following night in Manchester on imdb. (it's easy to figure out which thread...)
