I bought a cake and everything to celebrate. Today I will watch all the Elijah movies I own. Flipper, Oliver Twist, LOTR, Huck Finn, Forever Young, The Ice Storm, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Lotr on it's own is 12 hours so I won't be sleeping tonight!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ELIJAH!! staying alive for a quarter-century is hard enough these days, but our boy is thriving. may he always. to celebrate, i asked off of work on his birthday and went to see Mustard Plug play at Howard's Club H in Bowling GReen, Ohio...the best freaking bar ever! there i listened to lovely ska music and raised a glass (or several, rather) to his honor.
it sounds weird to say this, but I feel like i owe elijah wood a lot, in a way. he has brought some very amazing films and music to my attention that i probably never would've discovered on my own, since i live in a cultural wasteland (northwest ohio *zzzzzzz*) and work all the damn time. but he's also an incredible person to look up to. i also turn 25 this year, and haven't come nearly so far in my life as he has. looking at him is realizing that anything is possible if you want it enough and are willing to give it your all.
so for elijah, happy 25th, and thank you.

I SO WISH.. I could have said happy birthday to him in person on his special day... but.. alas.. I'm sure he is very private and wants to keep it that way with his family and "friends" so .. I'll settle for watching ROTK and looking at all my Elijah posters of ROTK and Everything is Illuminated...Ha

Hiya Doremi..... just thought I'd let you know gig went down amazingly well .... we had people screaming for more at the end of it! (a really bizairre feeling!  along with complete strangers coming over to us afterwards just saying that we were great!!!)
I have NO voice this morning and am heading off to work shortly - but just thought I'd let you know it all went OK - in fact when I was actually up there I was only nervous through half of the first song
