Deenan, Joanie, Yeux - I loved reading your reports so very much, and the pictures are extraordinary! You ladies are so lucky to have the opportunity to go to this!!!!!! It sounds like you all had great time, with shared memories to last a lifetime! I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. Please tell me more about FOFF in August, 2006 too Yeux. I heard some mention by a couple people of August, 2006 when I was in Orlando a couple weeks ago, but didn't really know what was being referred to.

About four months ago, those of us who frequent the “older” Elijah fans thread started talking about how much we’d like to meet each other. I thought this was a wonderful idea and said, “Well, let’s do it!” We agreed on the first weekend of Aug., 2006 as being best for everyone and this date certainly provided plenty of time to plan ahead.
We chose Iowa because Rose lives there. She home schools her five children and it would be difficult for her to travel somewhere for this. Since she’s a favorite of all of us, we decided to go to her. She's in a big city with a good airport and a wide choice of hotels, so we shouldn’t have any problem getting a block of rooms. Early next year Rose will look into the hotel situation for us.
As of now, we aren’t planning any activities….just a get together. Anyone who can’t spend all three days for this is being requested to definitely plan on Saturday. I hope you can join us.
I realize I'm off topic here, but I've tried four times to PM you and keep getting a website not responding message. So I will try posting and see if that works.

Yeux, I'm sorry you seemed to have trouble getting to me. As a matter of fact, when I checked my e-mail tonight, I did receive all 13 of your e-mail attempts to reach me, and could read each one of them! The FOFF get together sounds like a lot of fun. I would absolutely love to go & meet everybody and see those that I met last month in Orlando. I will have to wait & see. That weekend may pose a problem for me, but I'm not sure yet. I may be able to work around it, and attend the get together for Saturday & Sunday at least. I'm sure it will be a blast!!!!!
By the way, I am the one that drove back & forth each day to ELF. It wasn't a bad drive for me - only took me about an hour & 15 minutes each way, and I had rented a car that weekend to drive each day so I didn't have to put all that mileage & wear & tear on my own car.

Lookie, someone who didn't get to meet Elijah:
Conversely, my elfin doll-face pal ELIJAH WOOD went rather mute as I stood outside his last premiere, my stress as painfully unrelieved as my low-grade gastritis. I'd been promised time with Elijah by a publicist for the event, only to have his personal flack seem to dodge me like an errant maxi pad at every turn. Am I not "Popular"? Could it be because last time around, I lightheartedly asked Elijah if he keeps up with various Internet rumors? Can I now go back to my people?

ooohh.... very enlightening bit there carina. i guess we were lucky then huh? but it was a madhouse once elijah showed up. i kinda feel sorry for the girl.

Do you think they should have organised it better? Less people for example? I'm glad that you, Yeux, Prim and Joanie at least got to spend some time with him, judging from the 'chaos' there.

there were more people crammed in at the party than the movie that's for sure. i don't know how that happened.

it was kinda funny. while we were talking and taking pictures with charlie and lexi outside, i occasionally looked at the door to see the guard checking IDs before he let anyone in.
when we were done with charlie and went to the door, the guy didn't even ask us who we were and let us in, so maybe.
