This is one of the best musicals EVER!!!! I give a lot of respect to it. I've never read the book though.

I love the story, my Freshman yr in high school (6 yrs ago!) we performed the play not the musical, and it was really good and a big success. I also saw the traveling Broadway show when it came to the Fox theater in St. Louis this Feb. It was awesome! as far as the book goes I've never read it although I do want to. I just never have the time, maybe I should look into checking it out from the library before I go back to school.

I absolutely loved Les Miserables! Very great novel. And the musical was great as well. The book seems long but once you get into it, it's really hard to put down. (I know, I know how clique, but its true).

well, i've read the book, which was totally great, and then i've watched the 3-hr movie, which was even better..
as far as i've noticed, most of victor hugo's books are really good... i loved the hunchback of notre dam...especially because it has a sad end, not like the disney-film...

I haven't read the book, but my sister had, she said it was very good, i think I'll read it soon. I saw a tv serie and i found it very good ( it was with Gérard Dépardieu). I think it is such a great story, the end was good, however it was sad

My senior year in French we watched the movie in class and we watched it in French with French subtitles.(It was a dvd.) It was only my second yr. of French so it was kind of hard to follow it helped that I already knew the story.

I started reading it two days ago, I'm loving it so much. I whish i had more free time to read it! It's so frustrating, on one hand I have to study because exams are clouding the horizon but on the other hand I want to read the book without stopping!

I did a search, but I didn't find a topic on this yet. Anyways, I have to read this for English Lit too, and I have only gotten a few chapters through. So, what did you guys think of it?
