Hi! I don't know if this topic will have any success. I loved reading Juliet Mariller's books, so that I was wondering if anyone had read them and had had the same opinion has mine (or a different one). Juliet Marillier is from New Zealand, the books I read are The daughter of the Forest, The son of shadows, The Child of the prophecy and Wolfskin.

Whoa -- this is a way-old thread, but I just read one of her books and loved it!! It's called "Daughter of the Forest" and it's the first in the Sevenwaters trilogy. I was feeling really depressed one day and asked my friend if she had any good fantasy stuff for me to read to get my mind off it, and that's what she gave me. It took a little while for me to get into it, but then I couldn't put it down -- and now I have to read the second one!

That happened to me too. When I was reading I didn't put it down for a single second. I read all the Seven Waters Triollogy, and WolfSkin, and I'm looking forward to the releasing of the second book of the collection.

Ooh, Norse Viking stuff -- cool! I'll have to check that out. (After I finish the Sevenwaters trilogy, which could take a while, because I've been borrowing the books from somebody else.)

Oh, I liked 'daughter of the forest'. It kinda lacked historical detail and background, but that's just because I'm a geek... Great read!!!
