Just thought i'd make this for people to talk about whatever book they are reading or have recently read or something.
What book are you all reading right now? What is the book about? Who is the autor? What do you think about the book so far?

1984 by george orwell
excellent book, but definately not a light read. In it, the people have no freedom, but the people aren't upset by this because they don't realise that they should have freedom. The people who are high up, rewrite history to make it look like they were right alll along. even things as dumb as the weather....its pretty hard to explain but its a really good book. a classic as well

*shocked but laughing* Les Miserables is a book by Victor Hugo, written... 18th century, right? Made into a movie, miniseries several times.
I'm reading 5 books, FOTR, by JRR Tolkien. It's a fairytale.... One about nutrition and health, One about veganism, for and about, by Lisa Gålmark One about dragons, in myth, reality, and symbolism, by Åke Dahlström One about the Celts, by David Bellingham They are all really good and intresting!

I am reading Les Miserables as well! For fun. Its an amazing book, such a great story.
I just finished The Hours and The Return of the King for the second time as well. I tend to read several books at once.

What book are you all reading right now? The Langoliers (a short story amoung three other short stories in a big, fat book called Four Past Midnight) What is the book about? This particular story is about a plane, where ten people wake up to find that they are the only ones on the plane. Everyone else is gone, save their clothes, shoes....and things that were supposed to be inside them, like pacemakers. Everyone is confused and frightened, espacially a man named Craig Toomy. He knows what's coming...the langoliers have come because they have all been lazy. That's what his father told him. If you were LAYING DOWN ON THE JOB, you weren't part of THE BIG PICTURE, and the langoliers would come for lazy people. They land in Boston and everything seems wrong...there is no sound, no echo...the food is tasteless....and it's growing dark. No to mention there's something coming for them....something that makes a crackling sound.... Who is the autor? Stephen King What do you think about the book so far? I love it, of course, because it is by Stephen King. I'm trying to read everything he has written so far. It's hard. I know this story was made into a movie, and I would give you more on the description but I don't want to ruin the story for you if you ever get around to reading it, which I highly recommend. It's very good and interesting...it makes you think if this could really happen.

I'm reading th original Star Trek series - Star Trek: Doctor's Orders It's by Diane Duane and it's about the ship's doctor, who always grumbles about how the captain runs the ship. When the captain leaves for a mission on a planet, the doctor gets put in charge and he finds out that commanding a star ship isn't as easy as he thought. Matters get worse when they meet up with an alien race and they can't reach their captain to bring him back aboard. The ship finds themselves stuck in a situation and possibly a war that they have no chance of winning.
I'm halfway through it right now. It's an excellant book! Very interesting. But you all may not like it since you may not like Star Trek. Me on the other hand.....I'm a huge Trekkie!!!!!!!

HAHA! SUMTHING FOR ME YAY
What book are you all reading right now?
I'm reading "The Vampire Lestat. the Second book in the Chronicle of Vampires"
What is the book about?
It's about Lestat (Suprising, isn't it?) ! I guess you all know "Interview with the vampire", no? Well ... that's kinda like Vol. 2! It's about Lestat de Liancourts life before and after he became a vampire! *sighs* ((*has to think of Nicki*))
Who is the autor?
Anna Rice and she's goooood man
What do you think about the book so far?
Damn, it's the best book I ever read! If you didn't read it yet - DO IT! It's worth it! I just can't stop reading it! I'm reading it in school during the brakes, before class, in the bus to school and home at home and in bed before going to sleep!!! I'm kinda like addicted to it!
