Carina - I'm a huge Zadie Smith fan and I agree with you, The Autograph Man isn't her best book by a long shot, in my opinion. But do try White Teeth or On Beauty, they're both brilliant.

It's a beautiful book too, though keep a box of tissues with you for weepy moments.

I just finished the Namesake. It's an amazing book, and really changes ones perspective on America, and perhaps England's, immigration status. I really feel sorry for those who move to different countries for a better life and end up getting discriminated against. It also puts family into perspective as well. It's a great read.

Currently reading 'lean mean fourteen' by Janet Evanovich, she is an American crime writer and I've read a lot of her books. I've mostly been reading crime and science fiction lately, but have joined a book club to widen my reading.

don't put yourself down, some books just don't interest us, no matter how hard we try.
