Another Brownie! Which do you think was better? By the way, there's a very high chance they'll be making Angels & Demons into a film!!!!

I've read "DaVinci Code", "Angels and Demons", "Deception Point" and another one I can't remember the title of right now.
Anyway, "Angels and Demons" is by far my favorite. I think the plot is a lot better than in his other books. I don't dislike Dan Brown but I feel that he's always writing in the same style. When you've read one of his books, you've read them all.
Also, I think that his writing is a bit "common", nothing exceptional, no beautifully written sentences that stay with you. For me, he's okay but no more than that.

The one you can't remember is Digital Fortress.
I love his style of writing, I don't normally read these kind of books but after seeing The DaVinci Code I had to read the book and I loved it so much I read Angels & Demons. Which is my favourite book.

Right, that's the one! I read "The DaVinci Code" before all the hype started. It was weird that everyone suddenly started talking about it while it was "old news" for me
But I fully agree on "Angels and Demons". I love Rome, I've been there several times and I love the fact that I know so many of the locations.

I've never been but although it sounds odd, it has filled me with much more respect for everyone there. The descriptions I find amazing.

I had read "The Da Vinci Code" before all the hype started (it was the same with Sudoku ) and then I made a point of not reading the next book until the hype had died down a little. His style of writing certainly captured me - I'm a Tom Hanks fan but I've not had a chance to see the movie yet.

I like Angels and Demons, and the DaVinci Code which is basically the same book. The other two I thought were awful. I don't take the books too seriously though, it annoys me how he presents everything he writes as if it's fact, it takes away from the entertainment factor of the books. I think Brown is a very poor writer, but he's good at what he does, creating disposable, enjoyable page turners. They're easy to read, but I don't get the usual sense of fufilment I get when I finish a book where I've loved and identified with the characters. It's true what Cristiel said that once you've read one book you've read them all, which is probably why I enjoyed Angels and Demons most, because I read it first. With the rest of the books it was easy to spot the 'twists', because they'd all happened in the other books.
