Love the stories. They're always so mysterious and scary. It's fun reading them at night.

I love Poe, his poems and stories are so rich in atmosphere and he describes characters mental states in a disturbingly accurate way.
My fave poems are "The Raven", "The City By the Sea" and "Alone". Fave stories: "Ms. Found in a bottle", "The Fall of the House of Usher" and "The Cask of Amontilado".
Though the true literary giant of the 20th century is H. P. Lovecraft, who was an admiarer of Poe (read HPL's "The Outsider", it almost reads as if it were written by Poe himself!).
Also, I am a lover of all things Burton, specifically his short film "Vincent". Check it out if you haven't seen it, Poe fans!

I love Poe. I've read almost all of his work, and I've done several studies on him for school. He really is (was) an intriguing (sp?) person.
My favorite stories are The Pit and the Pendulum and The Fall of the House of Usher. And my favorite poems are The Raven, Annabel Lee, and The Bells - in fact I chose to memorize The Bells when we had to memorize a poem for school. It was a while ago, but I still remember it... *starts reciting*
