Has anyone read that book. I hear its good and then i hear that its not. What do ya'll think?

This book wasn't my favorite, but it IS a classic so in reading it you can feel like you've accomplished something. Also, it's quite short and can be read in one sitting, so even if you hate it, by the time you realize this, you'll be more than halfway done.

I didn't read the book but I watched the movie in my English class. It was really sad. It was about a disabled kid.

I liked it. It was one of the only books I didn't mind reading for school in the past three years lol. It's not hard to understand like some of the other "classics", and it's short too. Only a hundred or so pages.
I'd say read it. If you don't like it then whatever...it's not like it's 800 pages long, and you can still say you've read it.

I had to read it for GCSE and I really did not like it but a lot of other people I know loved it. This was about 3 years ago now that I read it and thinking about it now, I can see why people do like it and if someone asked me if they should read it, I would probably say yeah try it. But I still dont like it.

Personally I think it is a great book, Steinbeck's writing about America in the earlier part of last century is very powerful and evocative.
But it is very sad and it made me cry.
