I just got into graphic novels and manga about a year and a half ago. So far I've read up through 7 volumes of The Sandman by Neil Gaiman, the whole series of Tokyo Babylon (manga), and one thing I just found called Arkham Asylum - a Batman graphic novel, sort of a special edition thing, that's illustrated entirely by Dave McKean - very cool stuff. V for Vendetta is next on my list - we'll see where I am after paying my bills next week.

It's called Arkham Asylum. I think......*who is author?* Ah! Grant Morrison - that's who wrote it. The setting is Arkham Asylum, of course, on April 1st, and the lunatics have taken over the place - led by Joker - wanting for Batman to come and join them so they can bother him and try to drive him nuts. It's short, but it's really good.

Oh, hell yeah! Batman's my favorite superhero, I think because he doesn't have any powers. He's just very intelligent and determined, but he's a regular guy underneath all that - he's awesome.

yeah...the only reason I like Supe even REMOTELY is because I love Smallville...my brother watches it...so do my cousin and my mom occasionally...Tom Welling makes him look good, lol (and Michael Rosenberg is great as Lex Luthor) but other than that, Batman is the best
ok back to graphic novels..lol

I've never been hugely into Superman. Never been hugely into comics either, but this whole graphic novel thing is starting to grow on me. I might move on to Hellblazer after a while too, because I loved Constantine; Vertigo has been putting out some very, very good reads for me so far.

My Brother Sam Is Dead is a great novel. It made me cry. I read it when I was nine. I shouldn't have it was too much for my years. Lol.

^^Who's the writer/inker for that? I think I've heard of it, but I'm not sure...
Anywho, I just bought myself an early b-day present! Death: The High Cost of Living, a sort of spin-off thing of Sandman. I've been looking for it for a while. Turns out in was in the Borders the whole time - I just hadn't seen it because they'd shelved it with Hellblazer of all things. (WTF?) Whatev - it's mine now! I'll be back with a review in a little while.
