I prefer the first one too....but I like also the second one!I know, the story changes in the last part of the book but I think because Eldest is just a passing book between the beginig and the end...

I thought just the opposite. I thought it was much more interesting. but that's juts me.... Anyways it's worth a read either way. As long as you've read Eragon. I can't wait for the next/last book!

It's funny, I put that avvie there 3 years ago when Robert Pattinson was only Cedric Diggory and now he's Edward Cullen and people actually now who he is....I'll leav it there for a bit just for kicks.

I am really excited for that third book, too.  Unfortunately, I don't think it is supposed to come out for two more years.    With my memory, by then I will have to reread the first two books to help me remember the details.  And I agree, these are very exciting stories!

Me, too, Rose.  I have "Eldest," but I haven't read it yet.  Just the other day I was trying to remember how "Eragon" ended and thought maybe I should read at least the last third of the book again before I start "Eldest."

Usually if I'm really intrested in a book I can read it in less than a week... sadly this one took me 3 so you can what I'm getting at.  HOnestly the last like 5 or 6 chapters were the ones that made me really intrested.

I was reading Entertainment Weekly and they named the book one of the top 10 worst books of the year.. ouch.  They also called him a Tolkien wannabe, well, they're complimenting Tolkien at least...  I wouldn't call it a horriblea book, but at the same time, not a gr eat one, when I finished it I was all exited then I was like, eh, it was... ok.

I love Eragon and Eldest!

And I think the third book is going to be named Empire, that's at least what I've heard...
