Jurassic Park is a great movie, and the other day when I realized I had the book in my bookshelf, I decided to read it. It's terrific. Has anybody ever read it?

They left a lot of the science out of the movie.  I plan on reading the  book at some point.

Well, you really should. It's a terrific book. I seem to like it much better than the movie.

I'm reading it at the moment...I tend to skip the sciencey stuff that dont interest me to read the exciting bits. It's taking me a while to get into, but is quite good.

Was nasty when that baby's face got eaten off though.

I loved the film, and then I discovered the book! I think the book is way much better! You get more "into" the whole thing!

Well... I guess that is also very common... it happened with LOTR as well...And usually those changes are not for the better.

True. LOTR was really extreme.

They made some changes to be able to make a second (and third?) film. That's so stupid I think!

Sometimes as a movie ends you can really see that they have just prepared the way for at least a second one...
