Wow- this is a lot to catch up on....thanks guys!
By the way, I checked out a book called Kira-Kira. Vaguely I understand that it's about an Asian girl in an Asian family. Has anyone else already read this and think it's a good book? I have to do a book report on it.

You should read 'So Me' by Graham Norton, or 'Shopgirl' by Steve Martin. Maybe, if you can get it, 'Let Sleeping Vets Lie' by James Herriot

I'd definitely recommend some Stephen King books, like Misery, Secret Window, Christine and The Stand. Terrific books.

Fiction Book you shoud read:
Siddhartha by Herman Hesse
Anything by H.G, Welles:
The Island of Dr. Moreaou The Time Machine The Invisible Man War of The Worlds
Anything by Hunter. S. Thompson (it's technically 'journalistic', but it's so damn funny-you need to look into his 'Gonzo Papers'- "when the going gets wierd, the wierd turn pro"
The Great Shark Hunt Kingdom of Fear Hells Angels Fear and Loathing on The Campaign Trail '72 Better Than Sex The Rum Diary Generation of Swine The Proud Highway also, tons of other great ones...
I don't like Danielle Steel, or any crappy romantic novels, but she wrote one biography about her son, who was the singer of a punk band called Link 80(one of my fave bands). Her son, Nick, had bipolar disorder, and killed himself in the 90's. It's a wonderful book to read if you like Link 80, or if you have Bipolar (if you have that, it's good to read about other people's experiences with the same problems) The book, finally, is called
His Bright Light by Danielle Steel
Obviously, my fave author-MARK TWAIN (he's the man!) read anything by him-Most of his books are very dark, and interesting, dispite the fact he is most famous for his 2 children's books Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Good books by Mark Twain:
The Mysterious Stranger Rouhging It A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court The Devil's Race Track The Diary of Adam and Eve tons more, too...
Of course, where would we be without TOLKIEN! I suggest (other than hobbit series, naturally)
Roverandom (cut little story-fast read) Letters of J.R.R.Tolkien Farmer Giles of Ham Smith of Wotton Major (sometimes the most interesting reads are reading diaries, or letters of your fave author-it gives more of an accurate insight into thier lives, being able to read what the wrote on thier own terms, not what they write in thier novels, and it is interesting what they speak about in the letters. That is a great thing about Hunter S. Tompson-he includes letters, and coorespondents in all his books.)
Parody- Bored of The Rings, by the Harvard Lampoon America:The Book by Jon Stuart and the Daily Show
Random stuff that's good:
MAUS by Art Spiegleman Ronin by Frank Miller (and, naturally, Sin City Series)
The Canterbury Tales
Medieval Romances are my absolute favorite Mythology to read-They have no known author, like the bible, and they are simply timeless-anyone can enjoy them! My favorite of all Medieval Romances is actually Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. I was so lucky to stumble upon a version of Sir Gawain translated by Tolkien himself!! That was a great find for me to add to my library:)
Oh, if nobody knows, Medieval Romances are ancient Mythological stories(translated from King's English and usually come in verse form, but you can get them in paragrahp form, as well) That pertain to Camelot, King Arthur, The Round, Table, Queen Guinevere etc...
That's all for now-There's so many books out there. I suggest start with the classics!:)

i suggest you read some Chekhov's. His short stories are just awesome. In Self-improvement, i suggest you read "Giant Steps" by Anthony Robbins. I comics, there's a series of books called "Le Petit Nicolas" or in english "Little Nicolas" by french author Goscinny which's been sketched by "Sampe". My own very favourite.
