Ouch, Jackie!! LOL.
Actually, I had never heard that Rowling didn't use an editor, but hey..more power to her. If I had written such great books, and everyone was anticipating what was written in them, I would want to keep it a complete secret.
That and I've never seen any mistakes in my copies....so, if she has no editors, she's doing a perfectly good job!
But then again, I may be biased as I lurve her books

I never heard she doesn't use an editor, it seems kinda silly, I would think she uses one. I think the member is just refering to the fact that since book three there has been some editing lacking for a pristine book, in order for the book to hit the shelves sooner and get the money rolling sooner. or so I heard. All hear say.

I think that Mrs.Rowlling takes so much time to write!!! I'm looking forward to know if Harry is going to pass OWLs I hope that Ron and Hermione star going out, I think they'll be so cute, or not, they are allwys quarelling! I agree with you maybe in this book malfoy is going to have an important role.
I just want to read the book!!!!!!!!!

I hope Malfoy's not such a prat. It's so strange that he's like the younger, fresher version of Snape. Think about it - James and Snape were always at each other's throats, and now we've got Malfoy and Potter.
Does that mean Malfoy is going to become a sadistic professor as well? That'd be interesting. Well, I hope Malfoy doesn't die, annoying as he is.

I also heard that there might be a family relation between lily potter and snape. brother and sister, or cousins. although, that one doesn't really fly with me, because then Harry would have gone to live with Snape for that whole blood protection thing. So I don't really buy that one.
I also heard some speculation that Sirus is not really dead. Some say because he fell through the curtain he and there was no body, he might be able to come back.
I for one iddn't really understand that whole curtain thing, was it death throgh there? The dead world? I didn;t really get it, even after two reads.
Could anyone clarify that for me?

I thought the curtain just held the voices of the dead? Erm...maybe not. I think it was meant to be vague so that she could expand on it in the later books.
I, too, have heard from Sirius fans that they don't think he's really dead. I think he's really dead. Dumbledore seems to think he's really dead. But who knows? Maybe I'm wrong.
I'm still suspecting a family link between Dumbledore and Harry. Just...something's gotta be there.

I like the idea of dumbledor and harry being related, but if they are, it must be paternal otherwise that blood prpotection thing wouldn't be right. Who knows, I can't wait for book 6 to come out. Whatever June in the future it arrives, it will be lovely summer reading (for about a week )
any more theories on the curtain in book 5 significance in coming books?

Did you even read the first page?
Quote from: curious bout efans on January 19, 2004, 06:54:55 pm About the book's release: It seems likely that book 6 will be called Harry Potter and the Green Flame Torch, but it has not yet been confirmed. The book won't be out until after the third film, although it isn't going to be delayed for any reason. Sometime in 2005 is the most likely release date for Harry Potter book 6. |
It's the very first post. You should at least be reading that for any topic.

About that veil thing, I also wondered what it exactelly means. I think it is the death, pure and simple, so that i think that Sirius is not coming back, which is a pity because he was one of my favourite characters. I don't know maybe, what i said is a little illogical

I don't want HP to date with Cho anymore. I liked better something between he and Ginny (she is one of my fav character ) but Harry has to prove he's worty her! And I want more Lupin. Definitely. But these are only my desires. I hope that we'll get 6th soon, but I don't think it will be before summer 2005

I'm pretty sure it's said on several sites that the next book won't be out until the summer of 2005. Oh well...we have the movie to watch in the meantime.
I wonder what she's doing with Malfoy's character. I still see him becoming another Snape...kind of. Do you think he's going to die doing something heroic? Eh, maybe not.
It's fun to speculate, though.
