I eat "normally" . I like meat and the way it tastes but I admire vegetarians, it's not something I could do. There are sometimes I'll several days and eat mainly veg meals but I always have milk products at least. I don't like eggs much, I only can stand them if they are hard-boiled.

I'm vegie Sometimes I get such a craving for meat, and it's really hard to resist, but I'm really stubborn and I won't give in out of principle.

I've been a vegetarian for over a year now. I eat dairy products and eggs, but no fish, red meat, poultry, etc. Reason? Well the main reason is just that I didn't like the guilty feeling I used to get when I ate meat, especially when I started reading what they do to animals in the slaughterhouses and how they're treated. It truly is horrible. I'm not saying eating meat is bad, not at all. My personal decision is just to abstain from that. It's also a lot healthier.

i'm a veggie, just because i don't want to be a living breathing cemetry.for some weird reason .
i honestly have no clue what a frutarian is. sounds like an alien.
i don't eat meat because of the treatment of animal who're bred for consumption.
edit: i've been a vegetarian for about 8 years now,so i think it'll last a lifetime. rest of the family has converted too, luckily.

Wow, it doesn't strike me as necessary to bump up a thread just to say that.
PETA is, naturally, biased but informative if you are able to look past the hyperboles and gory details.

Quote from: Yo. on November 15, 2003, 02:09:35 am Just depends on what you eat. If you have a balanced vegetarian diet, and get all the nutrients / vitamins that you need in things other than meant, then I think it is actually healthier. But, if you're a really slack vegetarian, you're probably doing more harm than good to yourself.
People thinking of becoming vegetarian, remember that you can't just stop eating meat, you have to substitute it with something. And it's better to do this with veggies etc, than it is to pump yourself full of iron tablets and the like. If you do it properally, it can ver extremly healthy for or. But if you don't, well...
