Summer Jobs

Anyone else working this summer? I'm going to be working full-time as a park director, which means I get paid awesome cash for playing with kids all day. But it's a big responsibility. I had to go through so much training, since it's working for the city, and get my First-Aid and CPR and all that stuff. The park that I'm working at has a bunch of exchange kids, so it should be interesting. I start on Monday
Anyone else wanna share their summer jobs?

Wow, that sounds like a cool job! I would love to be a camp counselor or something.
I can't get a job. I'm so mad. Almost every place I went to said "You have to be 16. Sorry." Sorry my ass. If you feel sorry for me, gimme a job! *cries* Oh well. I'll enjoy my last free summer, I guess.

Ooh girl I know exactly how you feel. I felt like that too when I was 14 I really wanted to work at a bowling alley and they kept telling me I was too young. I've gone for lots of interviews and been turned down even since turning sixteen. Getting your first job is one of the biggest pain in the asses in your life. But it'll come and soon you'll find a job you actually like. (first place I worked was A&W on the highway. sick All I can say is you learn a whole new language being around that many truckers per day.)

I actually got my job after just filling out two applications, and going to one interview - I was lucky, I guess! I'm working at a local movie theater. I just sell concessions, so it's not ecaxtly the hardest job in the world. In fact, it's awesome. I get good hours, get to meet lots of people, get free popcorn, pop, and slishies on my breaks, and get to go see movies for free. Can't beat that! It may turn into an all-year job, but when school starts, I'll only be able to work weekends. So I guess it's a summer job.

I don't have a summer job, just the one I've had the last couple of months. Which is, working in a Petrol/Gas station. Eh, its good money and close to home!

I work at a grocery story as a bagger. The formal title is "courtesy clerk" It's not so bad. For some reason, mostly guys work at the store. The only other female bagger is a moron and a slacker so everyone hates her. The advantage of working with mostly guys: two of them are extremely attractive. The disadvantage of working with mostly guys: the creepy mansl*ts hit on me.

I don't have a job right now, but I desperatly want one. I have applied for a couple of music stores, a book store and The Disney Store, so hopefully I'll get one of those. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hey, I'm on my lunch break right now. I had orientation today and it turns out I'm gonna be working at a park with an exchange student from Quebec. Hmm.. interesting.
