Ah, now here's one of my favorite bands. Pink Floyd absolutely amazes me. I'd have to say, out of all of their singers, Roger Waters is my favorite. Have you guys seen the movie "The Wall?" If not, I suggest you do

I love Floyd! I've kind of grown up with them - my mum and dad are both fans, and eventually my brother and I joined the club, so to speak.
Naturally, I love The Wall, Dark Side Of The Moon, The Division Bell and so on, but I've taken even more of a liking to the psychedelic Syd Barrett-era Floyd. Piper At The Gates Of Dawn is genius. And who can not almost cry in fits of laughter when hearing Bike? It's so good it's unbelieveable.
But the more "recent" (and I do mean "recent", lol!) would be Comfortably Numb, The Fletcher Memorial Home and The Great Gig In The Sky.
Something that causes deep, deep jealousy in me: When Floyd played in Norway in either the late 80's or 90's, before the gig, my mum and dad were walking on this huge, green gorgeous field-ish thing in a park in Oslo right by where Floyd were playing. Now, the scenery is just beautiful - in addition to the place itself being gorgeous, the sun is shining and it's all disgustingly idyllic. And then the choir girls start practising The Great Gig In The Sky, which can be heard all across the park.
...Why do these things happen when I'm a toddler and not present?
