though, for you Harry Potter fans, JK Rowling announced that The Tales of Beedle and Bard are going to be published for the public, due out Dec. 4th. i'm so excited!

Yay! I was so hoping she'd do that.

so today is the day i've been waiting for and dreading. today marks the one year anniversary since i've seen Josh in concert. it makes me sad, to think this exact time last year i was sitting in Mellon Arena with Josh just feet away. wow.
so, to mark the occasion, i've been saving Awake Live to watch tonight, and i'm going to start it in a few minutes.
such a sad day...i wish i had a time machine.

Girl I had the exact same emotions on the 17th o f July. However, I am certain yours feel a bit different considering I've seen him three times. i hope you love what you see! I am very proud of you for waiting! You have a lot of will power.

Oh, you lucky b*****es make me sick!
I have yet to see him live. The closest he'll come to Alabama is Atlanta. Wonder why? Does Birmingham not have a venue large enough to hold all that hotness?

aw, Aisling, i'm sorry. one day you'll get to see him, i promise. i know with Pittsburgh, very few artists come here for concerts because of all the additional fees for the venues. i'm pretty sure the only reason Josh himself comes is because he went to school here for a semester. maybe Alabama is the same way with their venues?

I'm sorry love. Didn't intend to bring you down.
I didn't know some places charge additional fees for the venues. That is lame.

I know. And my husband was still in Basic Training, and there was no way I was going to drive to Atlanta alone. Grrrr!

Anna! i think you are the master of randomly popping in here and taking us all by surprise...and we love you for it! how's life been? i feel like it's been so long since we've heard from you.
Josh (and Lucia) will be performing with trumpeter Chris Botti for his PBS special. apparently a bunch of different artists will also be featured in the show, scheduled to be taped at Symphony Hall in Boston at 7:30 pm Sept. 18 & 19. i've heard the special will air sometime in March, and a cd and possible dvd will be released. no word yet on what he will be singing with Chris.
sidenote: exactly 3 weeks until i move in to college.

Can someone please tell me.. what songs were a hug hit? Cause my speakers ain't working right now.. and I will like to download to my ipod.. and then listen to it.

His number one hit, radio-wise, would be You Raise Me Up. The song I have been hearing more and more on the radio is Awake.
And thanks for the news, Colleen! I remember when Botti was the opening act for Josh on his first big tour. It was amazing.

Haha, I know I'm quite bad at sticking around nowadays... I just have so much stuff to do with school and music during the year that I have no time for recreation. I'm sorry about that.. the whole not being consistent thing. I've missed all you ladies so much.
Life has been good... quite a lot has happened, but its too much to possibly fill you all in on in one post. I guess it'll just happen in little bits. Right now, as it stands, I'm doing a lot of "soul searching," if you want to call it that, and reading about different things and doing basically what I want to do for the last few days of summer.
As of the past few months I've been writing a long story (novella?). It's kind of catharsis in a way... not in that I'm releasing inner angst or anything, but just in that I'm finally writing down scenes I have in my mind and putting words to a story that's been floating around for a while. I might post it up here to get feedback... it's kind of fanfiction. What do you think?
I'm really angry that I missed that Josh show, even though it was a long time ago. I made a vow that next time he came near, I'd go.

Anna, no need for apologies. Its all very understandable.
Your novella sounds excellent! I know that it must feel like a bit of a release to write down the scenes or thoughts in your head onto paper (or computer...haha). Whenever I need a release or have an inspirational thought, I write.
