Great band! I like these 70's bands and rock and roll! My favourite song are : "Fun fun fun" and "I get around", but all of them are great. Hehe, I remember that in "Flipper" uncle of Sandy loved Beach Boys;]

Yes, they sing "Fun, fun, fun." ("And she'll have fun fun fun 'til her daddy takes the T-Bird away").

Quote from: c on May 24, 2004, 06:44:23 pm Isn't there one called "Don't worry, baby?" Or is that by someone else?

Yeeesss!! Awww, I lurve that song.
There was this one song... "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" ...that I always thought the Beach Boys sang, but it turned out to be Jan & Dean.
It's cool so many people here like them! I never really considered them one of those 'timeless' bands - maybe because despite the fact one of their members drowned, they didn't break up in the height of the career or anything. Didn't they stick together until the eighties? I know their last hit was "Kokomo."
*listens to Be True to Your School* Ahhhaha. I like this song - it's so fifties.

They sang Kokomo? That song is so relaxing. For seriously.
They are pretty timeless. I always think of them as very California. Probably just because of Surfin' USA...cause people think all Californians surf. And all that.
One of them drowned? I didn't know that.

Way down in Kokomo.. Sounds a bit like a Jimmy Buffet song!

Yes, Dennis Wilson did; he wasn't even forty. He was drunk at the time, I'm pretty sure. He went swimming in a marina and was diving to the ocean floor for objects. He never came up and divers found him a few hours later. He ended up being buried at sea...

Actually, Lovin' Spoonful sang it (and maybe even wrote it). Joe Cocker is notorious for doing covers. He did the cover of "With a Little Help From My Friends" that was the theme song for the Wonder Years, although the Beatles originally sang it.

Lmao, that's how I feel. Except I have virtually all of their albums on vinyl, as my mom was a bit fan. I've only been listening to Pet Sounds though!
