Anyone play guitar?

I just recently starting playing guitar again. I know the very basics. But I'm working on it! For the longest time I'd been using an old hand me down that my dad gave me. But I recently bought a new one.
I love it. Plays beautifully.

Mmm, I play guitar. or rather.. I attempt to play guitar.. heh. We've got 3 guitars in my house: 2 normal sized ones (my dad's is kinda big though) and my sister has a mini one. I play my mom's though.. it's a really nice one. old, but in great shape.
I'm not that great.. only know basic chords. I can read tabs, too, but usually can't play anything that's overly complecated. Lol. But it's still fun. If ever I have some free time, I usually try and pick it up and strum something.
What kind of guitar does everyone have? And what songs can you guys play?

I have a Jay Jr. acoustic and a Jay Turser electric. Yay, Jay Turser (not).
I want an electric Fender. I prefer acoustic guitar, though.
I just play whatever. I write stuff. I play Smashing Pumpkins, Zwan, Nirvana, some Pink Floyd, some very basic Hole stuff, and not much else. These days, I mainly play my stuff, because I wrote it, so I know I'm definitely playing it the right way!

It's different for everyone, and everyone has a different definition of what's 'good'.
I'd say 10 years until you're halfway good. That goes for anything.

nah not 10 years! i'd say 2-3! i consider half way good being able to play chords and bar chords and learn songs relatively quickly! i played for 4ish i think... i have two crappy crappy acoustics that are the cheap arse kind and then i have a cort electric! tis awsome! he he he
i play a lot of eric clapton,cream, the who, red hot chillie peppers, jimi hendrix... i never really got that into it... i like playing but i have no respect for cover artist and the only band opportunities i had were crap like chick bands! cant stand them and then bands who wouldnt play origional stuff! id rather play crap origional than awsome covers!

i play classical guitar, acoustic and i'd love to try an electric
i also play bass which is probably my favourite
how long it takes 'till your halfway good
depends on how much you practice really
and what your definition of halfway good is

For me, I think it takes about 10 years.
Anyway, no matter how good you are you could always be better.

i 'play' guitar...well i'm learning too. i'm in a band and felt stupid standing there rapping a handmade tambourine. so i got a guitar. it's an Abilene *acoustic* but not pretty blue like yours...lol

I've been playing guitar for about 4 or 5 years now. I'm pretty good. I prefer playing acoustic, but I can play electric.
Once you know the basic chords, guitar is easy. You get into a rhythm with changing chords and it becomes easy.
I have a Fender GC-12 acoustic, and the Fender Stratocaster electric: Buddy Guy version.
This is the stratocaster I have. (Check out the polka dots!)

Dude! Polka dots!! That's awesome. I never knew you played guitar, Malin! Sweet.
As I said, I only attempt it when I have some extra time. But I do really enjoy it, and am not all that bad, I suppose. I can pick up on stuff fairly easily, at least.
I've got an acoustic Fender. It's old though - a 1976 F-15 model. But I luff it so much!

ooooo i want a good acoustic! and a blues slide guitar! ooooo i love them! he he he! i tried to learn slide once but my guitar teacher kinda avoided it and then my brother lent my slide to someone and i never got it back!
i love eric claptons fender! there is a pic on 'the cream of clapton' cd and his fender is so worn and it just looks so nice and loved! he he he!
my brother's bass is awsome! he painted it himself! i attempted painting mine once but decided against it! i want someone to etch something cool into it though...
ooo look at the beautifulness!

I have a fender stratocaster, black and white and plays beautifully. His name is sid and he is v. sexy!!
I'm not that good only started to play this year in music class and at home, i really want lessons. But its all good I love playing him lol. Started making up my own song its sooo much funN!!!
