This is the second most song that is me:
The Who - I Don't Even Know Myself
There's nothing in the way I walk that could tell you where I'm going, There's nothing in the words I speak that can betray anything I'm knowing, Don't think about the way I dress, you can fit me on a labelled shelf, Don't pretend that you know me 'cause I don't even know myself, Ooh I don't know myself.
I don't mind if you try once in a while, I don't mind if I cry once in a while, The doors aren't shut as tight as they might seem, I'm just trying to fight my way out of this dream.
Don't listen to the words I say, weighing up if I'm enlightened, Don't shiver as you pass me by, 'cause mister I'm the one who's frightened, The police just came and left, they wanted me and no one else, Don't pretend that you know me 'cause I don't even know myself, I said I don't know myself.
I don't mind if you try once in a while, I don't mind if I cry once in a while, The doors aren't shut as tight as they might seem, I'm just trying to fight my way out of this dream.
Do you remember me, I don't remember you, Do you still love me, you know I think you do, I have been gone, and some prison warder knows my scream, I'm just trying to fight my way out of this dream.
There's only five who know my real name, And my mother don't believe they know it, What she called me is the way I'm staying, And no one'll ever know it, Come on all of you big boys, come on all of you elves, Don't pretend that you know me 'cause I don't even know myself, I said I don't know myself.
I don't mind if you try once in a while, And I don't mind if I cry once in a while.

I'd say that; Queen - I'm Going Slightly Mad
Is my theme song... But my mum was walking past me and read this post, and said straight out, that the music that reminds her of me was;
Carmina Burana! Well, i wouldn't say that i'm the Anit-Christ, but hey! LOL!

Quote from: Flea the Fanatical on May 27, 2004, 10:50:44 am another one for me!
Mad World by Gary Jules
All around me are familiar faces Worn out places, worn out faces Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere Their tears are filling up their glasses No expression, no expression Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kinda funny I find it kinda sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very mad world mad world
Children waiting for the day they feel good Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday Made to feel the way that every child should Sit and listen, sit and listen Went to school and I was very nervous No one knew me, no one knew me Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson Look right through me, look right through me
And I find it kinda funny I find it kinda sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very mad world ... world Enlarge your world Mad world
|
Yeah !!! This song is also for me !!! I ADORE that song; i find it sooooo beautiful, it makes me cry... the voice of Gary Jules is wonderful, the lyrics are so sad... i love when he said "The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had" or "i wanna dry my sorrow"... the first time i heard this song, i couldn't speak anymore, i just listenned silently, so beautiful !!!
I also like "I didn't understand" and "Because" of Elliot Smith (this man has a wonderful voice... -R.I.P.- )
because (- the beatles) -> they wrote it, but Elliot Smith's version is beautiful
because the world is round, it turns me on because the world is round because the wind is high, it blows my mind because the wind is high love is old, love is new love is all, love is you because the sky is blue, it makes me cry because the sky is blue
-i didn't understand
thought you'd be looking for the next in line to love then ignore put out and put away and so you'd soon be leaving me along like i'm supposed to be tonight, tomorrow and everyday there's nothing here that you'll miss i can guarantee you this is a cloud of smoke trying to occupy space what a f*cking joke what a f*cking joke i waited for a bus to separate the both of us and take me off far away from you 'cos my feelings never change a bit i always feel like shit i don't know why i guess that i "just do" you once talked to me about love and you painted pictures of a never-neverland and i could've gone to that place but i didn't understand i didn't understand i didn't understand
and there are so many songs yet, "I don't know what to do with myself" of The White Stripes or "Jolene" of Dolly Parton
Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I'm begging of you please don't take my man Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Please don't take him just because you can Your beauty is beyond compare With flaming locks of auburn hair With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green Your smile is like a breath of spring Your voice is soft like summer rain And I cannot compete with you, Jolene
He talks about you in his sleep There's nothing I can do to keep From crying when he calls your name, Jolene
And I can easily understand How you could easily take my man But you don't know what he means to me, Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I'm begging of you please don't take my man Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Please don't take him just because you can
You could have your choice of men But I could never love again He's the only one for me, Jolene
I had to have this talk with you My happiness depends on you And whatever you decide to do, Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene I'm begging of you please don't take my man Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene Please don't take him even though you can Jolene, Jolene
(-> i've already had this kinding of feeling ! what about you ??)

right now mine is john mayer's "no such thing" but i was also think that "baby got back" was good cuz i have a big booty lol
"welcome to the real world" she said to me condescendingly "take a seat, take your life plot it out in black and white"
well I never lived the dreams of the prom kings and the drama queens I'd like to think the best of me is still hiding up my sleeve
they love to tell you "stay inside the lines" but something's better on the other side
I want to run through the halls of my high school I want to scream at the top of my lungs I just found out there's no such thing as the real world just a lie you've got to rise above
so the good boys and girls take the so-called right track faded white hats grabbing credits, maybe transfers they read all the books but they can't find the answers all of our parents, they're getting older I wonder if they've wished for anything better while in their memories, tiny tragedies
they love to tell you "stay inside the lines" but something's better on the other side
I want to run through the halls of my high school I want to scream at the top of my lungs I just found out there's no such thing as the real world just a lie you've got to rise above
I am invincible I am invincible I am invincible as long as I'm alive
I want to run through the halls of my high school I want to scream at the top of my lungs I just found out there's no such thing as the real world just a lie you've got to rise above
I just can't wait for my ten year reunion I'm gonna bust down the double doors and when I stand on these tables before you you will know what all this time was for

Just a Girl - No Doubt
(this is basically how I've been treated my whole life until just recently... when I decided to pull the whole... f*ck the world streak... yeah)
Take this pink ribbon off my eyes I'm Exposed And it's no big surprise Don't you think I know Exactly where I stand This world is forcing me To hold your hand
'Cause I'm just a girl, little ol' me Don't let me out of your sight I'm just a girl, all pretty and petite So don't let me have any rights Oh... I've had it up to here!
The moment that I step outside So many reasons For me to run and hide I can't do the little things I hold so dear 'Cause it's all those little things That I fear
'Cause I'm just a girl, I'd rather not be 'Cause they won't let me drive Late at night I'm just a girl, Guess I'm some kind of freak 'Cause they all sit and stare With their eyes I'm just a girl, Take a good look at me Just your typical prototype Oh... I've had it up to here! Oh... am I making myself clear?
I'm just a girl I'm just a girl in the world... That's all that you'll let me be!
I'm just a girl, living in captivity Your rule of thumb Makes me worry some I'm just a girl, what's my destiny? What I've succumbed to Is making me numb I'm just a girl, my apologies What I've become, is so burdensome I'm just a girl, lucky me Twiddle-dum there's no comparison
Oh... I've had it up to! Oh... I've had it up to!! Oh... I've had it up to here.

Wow. Now that ALL depends on my mood.
Sometimes when I'm sad it would be: "Losing my Religion, R.E.M." or "Disarm, Smashing Pumpkins."
When I'm perky/happy, it would be: "Half Fling: Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan and Viggo Mortensen." -Rolls on the floor and laughs.- It's so hilarious, and up-beat.
When I'm angry, which is never, but I've realized some songs let my anger out, is: "Just like you ( I think that is the name), Three Days Grace." or somewhat of Metallica songs, even though I really do not like them as much as many think, lol.
This is a good topic; love it! Ecusue

From my previous topic, the lyrics to Smashing Pumpkin's "Disarm."
Disarm you with a smile And cut you like you want me to Cut that little child Inside of me and such a part of you
I used to be a little boy (girl, to me, ) So old, in my shoes And what I choose, is my choice What's a boy (girl, lol) suppose to do The killer in me is the killer in you My love Send this smile over to you
Disarm you with a smile And leave you like they left me here To wither in denial The bitterness of one whose left alone
I used to be a little boy (girl) So old in my shoes What I choose is my voice What's a boy (girl) suppose to do? The killer in me, is the killer in you My love Send this smile over to you...
The lyrics get me all the time. -Laughs.-

Heh, again, I have another song that I absolutely ADORE! Its "Yesterday" by the beatles. I have another song that I love from them, and its "Eleanor Rigby." Yesterday:
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away Now it looks as though they're here to stay Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be, There's a shadow hanging over me. Oh, yesterday came suddenly.
Why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say. I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play. Now I need a place to hide away. Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Mm mm mm mm mm. And the other one, "Eleanor Rigby"
Eleanor Rigby
Ah, look at all the lonely people Ah, look at all the lonely people
Eleanor rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been Lives in a dream Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door Who is it for?
All the lonely people Where do they all come from ? All the lonely people Where do they all belong ?
Father mckenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear No one comes near. Look at him working. darning his socks in the night when there’s nobody there What does he care?
All the lonely people Where do they all come from? All the lonely people Where do they all belong?
Eleanor rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name Nobody came Father mckenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave No one was saved
All the lonely people Where do they all come from? All the lonely people Where do they all belong?
Absolutely a wonderful song, its sad, but it makes me happy somewhat. Lol
