Banner help (Changed name)

Okay, I want to know how to make those cool banner things that EVERYONE but me has at the bottom of their posts.
And, look, if anyone is going to be a total angel and either explain it to me, or direct me to some where there are instructions, I'll have you know, I am a total dunce. I need really really basic, simple, step by step instructions.
So, if you can help me out, I would be most appreciative.

Jane, did you compare the percentage of teenage male Rex Manning fans to the incidence of homosexuality amongst teenage males?

Even if you can tell me how to get a picture there, not just a banner. Damn I'm useless...

dont u know how to get a pic into your siggy?well what you do is go to "profile" and then down to "signature" then you can either upload a pic(which i dont know how to do)or you can get a pic from an internet site...for the internet site you need the url of that picture(url is the http://www thingy)then you gotta put [ img ]http://www.blahblahblah.com[ /img ] just without the gaps in between...ok i hope that aint to confusing???

The banners are made with either Paint Shop Pro or Adobe Photoshop, both graphics programs. There are people here who will make you banners though

Yeah. All you need to do is use a graphic program such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop or any other program you might have on your computer and put together a few pictures and text. Just play around with the program putting pictures/text/colours/shapes together and i'm sure you'll come up with something.

I've tried endless times to make a banner, and have failed miserably. But there are loads of people on the board who will make you one if you ask them nicely. (hehe, ask me nicely) (lol, i watched a few good men last night, ignore me)
