Signature Pictures.

This topic is open for all members (along with mods, of course) to discuss the problem of people whose signature pics are too large.
Up to what size should we limit the pics? 250 x 250 pixels is the current proposed size by Ray and me. (Right, Ray? I'll change that if you have changed your mind to 300.  )
Also, how shall we go about enforcing the new rules? Should we all send PMs to members, or is there another way? Should we create sticky threads in forums informing people that their siggy pics must conform to the new size restriction?
Discuss amongst yaselves.

Maximum 260! Dammit Mad! I told you in the other thread. Pfffffff. (  ) 250 really is the perfect size. 260 would be slightly pushing it, but no one should ever go over that. A good example, check out MysteriousMrWood's sig:
(that is 187 in width and 249 in height)

You're right Ray, that's a hideous example of signature excess.
Though I'd be willing to grant a variation to Maggie, as her pic is of Lij mid-thrust. Mmm hmm.

I just PMed icee about her banner (it must be atleast 500 pixels wide). And Maggie....that sig's been a fave ever since it's been exposed to this forum. *laughs quietly to herself*

*ahem* Excuse me A.Go, but I think your signature is 247 pixels too large above the limit.
Actually, judging with the people that are on the board right now, most of their sig sizes aren't all that bad. We eliminated those with the wallpaper sigs (ROFL) composure back. Sorry. And yeah, most member's are good about it, especially because when they're asked to reduce the size a bit, they're really nice about changing their sigs or resizing or whatever. Well.......the ones I've talked to anyways. Never come across anyone I'd like to claw. Yet.

Alter: In the Private area we have decided to notify each other whenever we contacted someone about their signature size. This prevents 2 different people sending an IM to the same member.
Let's just hope Jochen gets that technical problem fixed soon, eh? So you can also view this area.
