I find avatars quite interesting!! Although this forum doesn't let you uplaod your own so i dont have a good one... i am gettin one soon tho! So what do your avvys mean or why did ya pick them!

Mine's of D'arcy, and she was the bassist for the Smashing Pumpkins until 1999, and then Melissa Auf De Maur replaced her until the Pumpkins broke up. 
The picture is a screencap from the "Today" music video, and she is standing by the "GAS" station sign. I just thought it went along with the line under the avatar ("I can smile at the old days, I was beautiful then", a line from the song "Memory" of the musical Cats). I thought it was funny. It's bit of an inside joke, though. 
I just started using that avatar about a week ago, actually. I used to have one that just said "Smashing Pumpkins" on it.

i saw this eskimo lij on this japanese magazine Roadshow.
i had never seen it on the net and i thot it's cute and rare so i scanned it myself and made this avator.
and now that i think of it, i should have put my name on it haha.
(and i wanted to ask that too, what's a GIR?)

Gir is a cartoon chracter. He's a little robot, but he's dressed as a dog is disguise. I think the show is called Invader Zim?

my avatar is just of the twins of GC, Benji and Joel. i thought it was cute because of all the faces Benj makes, and i never had an animated one before.
