Abandoned Fan Art Board

This is something that's come up while I was very bored looking through the slow Fan Art section. What happened to the challenges? Mods, it's been quite a long time since anyone's taken care of the voting for best co-star colorization challenge. And just in my opinion, the fan art board seems to be one of the deserted and inferior boards on the forum, so it's very slow and not many people go there. I think it should be a very fun and encouraging place for tons of people to express art! And I think in that case that the challenges should be active.
Here's a quote from slartibartfast on the Fan Art FAQ about challenges:

So every few weeks the entries are voted for and someone comes up with a new contest. Tigerlily posted the thread to the website where you vote for the co-star challenge July 1st, more than 2 months ago.
I'm sorry to sound blunt or rude, I'm really not trying to make this into a get-back-at-the-mods bashing protest...all I'm suggesting is that maybe we could get the challenges back up and running...and it would be really fun!

Hi Blue Star,
Many of the mods are very busy at the moment, and although we're not making a challenge now for the Fan Art board, doesn't mean we're doing nothing. At the moment, a challenge for the Fanfiction section is in place.
As for the co-star colorization challenge, the winners will be posted soon. If you have any ideas for a Fan Art challenge, you can PM me with it, and I'll give your idea to the other FC mods.
