The title is pretty self-explanatory.

I voted 'Raise it'.  I think it would probably be a really interesting exhibit to have travelling around the world, and so many people are fascinated with the Titanic that it would be really special for them to see it.

I think it should be left where it is. But that's mostly because I doubt that they'll be able to raise it without destroying it. But it would be awesome to be able to go down there with a submarine or something to take a look. But that's probably too expensive and complicated to be realistic.

As an historian I think we could learn alot from it and it would be fascinating to see her up close.  But as a person I think it should be left, 1, 517 people lost their lives there.  It is a gravesite and should be left.  Mother Earth has taken her back and is (literally) eating her and taking her back.  Thomas Andrews, Captain Smith and all everyone whose perished that morning deserve to be left there.

It is possible and I too would love to go but I would be fearful of getting too emotional.  The submersibles are only about 5 ft by 5ft.  It takes the best part of ten hours to get to the actual ship.  As much as I would love to see her I would fear her becoming a 'tourist attraction'.

I have voted 'leave it'. It would be expensive and unnecessary. We all know the story and have seen the movie, so just leave it where it is.

I said that I think that they should leave it.  For one thing, like someone already said, it's a gravesite and it should be left there.  And another reason, when they tried to bring up just a little part of it a few years ago, it bent really easily and that would be awful to see.  Plus, I honestly think that, at this point in time it would be too difficult to do, you know?

I voted "couldn't care less" - though it's not strictly true that I don't care, but I don't have strong feelings either way.

If they DID decide to raise it however, I'd be concerned about possible environmental damage to the sea-bed and/or the effect on aquatic creatures in the area.

That's a very interesting point.  I don't think I would have thought of that.

The truth, they can't raise it.  Because nature is eating her up she would just crumble if they tried to raise.  She'll be gone with the next 20-50 years if people keep going down in submersibles.
