You know whats weird? Before Glee ever came out, the guy on your signature actually added me on myspace And I knew Kevin McHale through NLT.
Anyway, I never watched Glee, but it seems like a good show. My religion teacher at school thought it was sort of funny

Gleeks unite!
Fave characters anyone? (Mine are probably Kurt, Sue, Emma and Will).
Anyone else think Mr Shuester is a little like Orlando Bloom... or am I the only delusional one here?

My favorite characters are Kurt, Mercedes and Sue. I actually talk to the cast occasionally (oh yes, I have contacts people).
Favortie song and dance number(s)?

Wow, Glee are doing a Rocky Horror Picture Show special! I'm a big fan of both.

I'm that fond of the The Rocky Horror Glee Show episode. It's good but they are doing too many 'tribute' episodes. They need to go back to basics.

^ I'm in Australia, and I think we're behind you guys (TV episode-wise that is )
Which one was it Vix?
FYI, the episode that just aired HERE last night was the one where the students use the mental image of coach Beast to 'cool off'... and Kurt is being harrassed by some aggro jock dude, who ends up - (SPOILER ALERT!)
- Well, I'm sure y'all know where I was heading...
Anyhow, as for the Rocky Horror episode, it WAS a bit of a let down. I'm just SUCH a fan of the RHPS musical that I got all prematurely excited when I heard they were doing it on Glee.
Like you said (above) it was good fun and all, but I would have preferred if an actual GUY would have portrayed Frankenfurter (he IS supposed to be a transvestite after all!) - though not necessarily Kurt.
However, the premise of Mr Shue using Emma's RH-love to worm his way back into her affections was well done.

And yes I was talking about Never Been Kissed.
POSSIBLE SPOILERS!
I usually cry when it comes to Kurt's situations (and not because I think he's truly precious), but this episode really got to me. I am against bullying to begin with but when it's because of sexuality it just kills me more than usual. Usually when characters on TV are bullied I just get fed up with it but it was different. Chris' reactions felt different and more real to me. That being said, if I was Kurt's friend and I saw Dave push him around like that I'd have punched him out.

^^^ Agreed, agreed, agreed!!! (Well, maybe not the crying bit, but the points you make about being persecuted due to one's orientation etc.)
From your comment about Season 2, I take it you're watching via a 'non-traditional' route Vicky?
(Hmm... just looked up Glee's Wiki entry and realised the show must be airing concurrently in both the US and Oz. Wow - I'm shocked. We're usually so far behind it's not even funny.)

I don't know why it hits me harder when it comes to sexual orientation but it does.
"Non-traditional route" would be correct yes What can I say, I need my fix
Yeah you're both airing at the same time.

Hey, you're talking to an old f*g-hag from way back (overused term that it's become) whose brother is a Bi guy... so I'm definitely onboard with GLBT issues.
I commend shows like Glee and United States of Tara for portaying ALL people - no matter what their gender or orientation - as EQUALLY freakish/normal. If you get what I mean...

I also love Mercedes for the same reason. How often do you see a larger character on TV where they 'parodied'. I'm larger myself and Amber just fills me with strength and courage. I've spoken to her a few times and she's so lovely, as is Chris.
