Thanks for this thread Carina!
I don't really understand the reason for the nudity - I mean, I understand what Yates is saying, but I think it's sort of a pointless thing to add in.

And I agree with you here as well - it doesn't seem like that would be an appropriate scene to have in a 'family' film like Harry Potter. Although the stories are quite dark, I know lots of younger children still love going and seeing the films - surely nudity would give it a higher rating?

I find the whole article a bit weird. I don't read bunte, only flipped through it a couple of times , but anyways, I think it's always keen on scandals, wether true or not, so we will have to wait. I agree with you girls, I don't see the point of that nudity scene. The one at King's Cross...ok, but Harry and Hermoine hugging nakedly...not in the book, what scene could lead up to that?? It would be sad, if kids could not go and see it, because it gets a higher rating just because of the scene.

The only thing I can think of is that scene in the forest where one of the horcruxes (don't wanna say too much for those who haven't read the book) shows Ron a vision of Harry & Hermione "together" to make him jealous and angry at his friend. Y'know, divide and conquer.
I'm sure they won't show any x-rated body parts... but maybe just enough to make it clear to Ron (and the audience) that Harry and Hermione aren't simply hugging each other "as friends". IF this rumour is true, they probably want to make it look like H & H have just made love - knowing that such an image would be sure to get Ron REALLY fired up!

Naked? I have lready thought that HP isn't a movie for children any more as it used to be. But there is nothin like that in the books.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is the seventh and final of the Harry Potter novels written by British author J. K. Rowling. The book was released on 21 July 2007 by Bloomsbury Publishing in the United Kingdom, in the United States by Scholastic, and in Canada by Raincoast Books, ending the series that began in 1997 with the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
