elijah can go to the limit for his roles, but he didn't go as far to have his ears pierced.

It looks very intriguing and I'll bet more interest will be generated now that it's close to release.

it's very good and pretty graphic at times. it's been aired already in the UK and i believe is having multiple showings there now. the movie should be out in the US sometime this spring. you got syfy?

The mini-series was fantastic! I loved the music score, and the scenery! The scenery - so beautiful! Especially the ocean. Very, very shiny.
Jim Hawkins!! Oh boy, was the actor who played him such a cutie. Lovely blue eyes like our 'Lijah.
Of course, this was a brand new role for Elijah!! It was fantastic. He reminded me of 7 from Shane Acker's 9. Must have been the spear and the feather. (did he have a feather?)
Ben's obsession with cheese was adorable. During the argument between Silver and the captain's first mate (Not the doctor... the other gentleman who joined the doc and Jim), you could see Ben nibbling on the cheese and reading The Bible in the background. From time to time, he glanced over his shoulder.
Although he was wild and jumpy with Tarzan dreads, Elijah's portrayal of Gunn was just... super sweet.

this was a good movie! i've only seen the second part so seeing the full story was a treat. i liked how they didn't shy away from the violence, albeit mild in my opinion because pirates are known to be a ruthless breed.

i think that was the moment when ben decided to stay on the island. hearing them argue back and forth over the treasure, i don't think he wanted any part of that. it was peaceful on the island with the treasure in his possession. in the book ben went back with the crew.
eddie gave an interview recently and said there could be a sequel to the movie. perhaps they'll go back for the sunken treasure and meet up with ben gunn again. or they could do a prequel as there is another story solely about ben.

Although the prequel The Adventures of Ben Gunn wasn't written by Robert Louis Stevenson. I really did like this show. They did change some things drastically from the book, but I didn't mind the changes too much. Got me reading the book again.
Loved Elijah's portrayal of Ben Gunn though, and with the way the characters were acting, I can see why Ben would choose to stay on the island anyway. He did a good job with the character. I only wish there was more of him in the show.

i never read the book so i didn't know how it ended until news of this movie came. seeing that some people didn't care for the changes whiles others like you didn't mind them, i wonder now if the reasoning to change the end was with the intention to make another film.

gee... i thought they showed plenty of him. but i know what you mean.

I began watching this 30 min in on part I but then had some distractions at home and couldn?t devote my full attention to it. I hope they show it again. I thought Elijah?s role was minimal and wished we could have seen more of him but he did a good job with his part.
I also agree that these were relatively civilized pirates.

^ Might want to take a peek at Part II if you get the chance... I hope it's on again, because Elijah's role in Part II is much greater than the beginning of Part I.
