Yes, I think it was. When Sean first mentioned the role, he said the character weighed "300 lbs". I'm just glad that was modified.
Actually, in the face, he looks thinner than he did on the campaign trail.

It looks as if he may be wearing a "fat suit" because his stomach wasn't that pudgy just a short time ago. It's a relief to hear his role was modified.

Heh heh...nice hair. Thanks so much for the update, Rach. There seems to be a bit more "talk" about this one than TFS. Guess time will tell.

That it will, culpie. That it will.
Romeny, I think they DO pad him at times. He couldn't POSSIBLY gain and lose weight as fast as he appears to.
Hugs, Rach

Did anyone see the mention of Meerkat Manor in this week's Parade Magazine Personality Parade section? The questioner wanted to know why they replaced Sean with Channing & the answer was the producers preferred having a female voice narrate as meerkats are a matriarchal society.
Uh huh…I guess that explains why Sean did it for two seasons.

Heh heh! I LOVE that reason, Romeny. Besides...even if it were true...who says that you have to pick the sex of the narrator based on the structure of the animal's living structure? Seems to be the focus should be on how well a person can tell the story.
Of course, we know why they replaced Sean. It had to be over money. If it was any other reason, i.e. Sean didn't have time, etc. they would have said that....Too funny!
Any more information about Meerkat Manor? I thought this was going to be the last season.

What I heard was that they wanted to take MM in a "different direction". Apparently, they can't even get their stories straight.
Sean has just signed for a new movie called "Demoted".
Demoted
This just sounds to me like a redo of Sean's guest appearance on "My Name is Earl". Where have all the good , meaty dramatic roles gone?

It's not only sad for the talented actors not being offered challenging roles but also for the public. There seem to be so few new ideas for movies and just tired recycled ideas; It's rare you hear people talking about a movie they've just got to see.

Well, I DID like Mamma Mia! though that isn't a drama, or heavy by ANY MEANS. And now, I'm looking forward to the Twilight film (good book), but that doesn't mean that Twilight will be any good. We can only hope.
But both of these are very rare. I detest shoot 'em ups and that seems to be what most of the drama is any more. *sigh

I agree with you Rach, bring on all the good dramatic and meaty roles for our Sean! He wants something to really test his acting abilities

I just remembered Sean Astin was in Encino Man, I almost forgot about that. I loved that movie. He was great in it.
