i WAS in an elevator with one of the LOTR cast members. but not stuck unfortunately. 
it was during this years ELF. i was getting on and billy boyd was already on with 2 other people. i didn't see him at first, just a pair of hairy legs. as i got on, i looked up and saw it was billy. 
i asked him if he was about to play tennis or something. he kinda giggled and said he was going for a jog. i rode down about 10 floors with him. we talked a little more, but it wasn't much.
i saw him later coming back from his jog. he was all sweaty and glistening. 
that was a good day. if i were stuck, it would have been even better. being stuck with elijah??? i would have died!

I found this topic in The Council of Elrond forum which I'm a member too. I don't remember what I put back then. But if I get stuck into an elevator with the cast of the LOTR, I would ask each of them of their autographs,pictures and questions to each of them!!

I would say hello and ask how they all were, make general conversation to pass the time. And try to get their autographs hoping i had something for them to sign.

If I were brave enough (and after all the autographs) I'd play questions only with them...but they wouldn't know. Also, hey that's a BIG elevator!

Well I don't have a witty or interesting answer. I am terrified of lifts and I always try and take the stairs even if it is loads of flights. If I had to take the lift for some reason and it got stuck I wouldn't be able to talk to the LOTR cast as I'd be having a major panic attack.
