you know most of this film was sad, but like i said, i cried a lot during the last third of the film.
but one scene i cried at that wasn't sad was when the remainder of the fellowship was together again after frodo wakes up. seeing each other after being apart for so long and what they all had been through. that was so touching and i was weeping happy tears.

me too. the weird thing is it was hard for me to stop crying even after the film, so it looked pretty 'strange' for the other people in cinema  call me crazy, but even the final credit made me so sad...  maybe because I knew that was the last part and I was too emotional about that

The grey havens always makes me cry, I find it unbearably sad it is such a gut wrench when Frodo leaves his comapnions but particularly when he leaves his Sam.

Hi girls!! This is a very interesting topic!!
There are many tear-jerking moments for me on these movies... but I´ve voted when Aragorn and the people of Gondor bow to the hobbits after Aragorn is crowned King... I couldn´t help crying in that moment...I just love it...
And I must add one more moment: every time "Into the West" is played... so touching.

Oh I've just thought of two more occasions that always make me want to cry, when Pippin sings his beautiful song, Billy Boyd's voice is so beautiful and the lyrics are so wistful.....
Also when Gandalf and Pippin talk about death and Gandalf says death is just the beginning of the journey (I cannot remember the exact quotation and I am not doing it justice) but that is such a beautiful moment, it makes me sniffle.

I cried when Boromir dies, but during the Grey Havens part, I was sobbing so much. It's a very touching scene and the music is so sad!!

I have watched LOTR trilogy so many times...
I voted also for Grey Havens as so many of you guys did. I think that the movies are very beautiful and touching, but I don't recall of crying during 'em though...

i cry so hard everytime i watch RotK...but it hurts the most when Frodo leaves. i just can't take it. the worst thing in the world for me is having to say goodbye to someone. and ugh it just pulls my heart strings.

No other movies make me cry except for Lijis. It's odd really.
There were several times in each movie that made me at least come CLOSE to crying.
