Hmmm... I guess he's getting started.
Quote from: Elijahfrodo1990 on August 14, 2005, 11:25:47 pm Elijah would not say something like that He wouldn't say that.
|
Maybe he wouldn't, but his friends could. I don't think he's doing this on his own.
But like they said, let's wait and see...

Lij didn't tell the media about the name of his record label and that statement is a rumour. It's so unpolite. Lij should not use that kind of expressions.

Here is a brief blurb from the interview.
Every other Tuesday night, Wood and a friend deejay from their iPods at a club in Hollywood called the Bar.
“I never go with a set in mind,” he says. “It’s completely improvisational and fun. There’s nothing like playing music for people.” Wood may even take a break from Hollywood to pursue his interest in music. He hopes to get a radio show on the satellite radio network Sirius. Most importantly, he is going to start his own record label, to be called Simian Records. “Being such a huge fan, I’ve never really wanted to be in a band, and I’m not really good enough to be in a band — I play guitar, but barely — and I don’t really write music, so I’d rather release music that I believe in, and try to get things out there that I think are interesting and worth hearing, for no financial gain, purely because I love it and am passionate about it.”
You can read the whole interview on the TORN site.

I don`t think Elijah would say that either! But the name Simian Records, i think is true. The name shows up in all the articles so it has to be true.

The Bar -- what a scintillating name for a club.
Seriously, "Simian Records" seems plausible enough. Coincidentally, one band he likes is called Simian.

Ah. They must both go by the same name then.
But I'd love it if Elijah went with Sparkplug Records!!! (some rumour about the name) since Simian is such a common name to name something with.

Also on a verbal level, "Sparkplug" implies vitality.

I was right. He is doing it with a friend. Probably Jason.
Also, I was browsing MySpace the other day... it seems "see you soon b*tches" or "how are you b*tches* is just another expression for bands and musicians... apparently no biggie in their own circles. (Note: I am not condoning the use of the word. I'm just trying to explain where the webmaster or whoever might be coming from.)
Remember what Lij said about c*nt?
