Comment about the rules

I am new so I apologise if this topic has already been discussed. I've just read the rules and fully support the ban on racist, sexist and generally offensive comments, however I feel it would be good if homophobia was mentioned as one of the unacceptable things. Although it could be seen as falling in the generally offensive category, I have seen much homophobia in various forums that I belong to (excluding the lebian/gay/bisexual ones) that I feel it would be good if this board made a stand. Anyway that is just my point of view, thanks.

Homophobia goes into a very different category, it can't be lumped in with sexists or racists. It touches a whole different form of prejudice.

It has been quite a big issue numerous times in the past.
Some people have been known to voice some very nasty opinions on this particular topic. From both points of view.
I think it's a shame that you need to highlight things that shouldn't be done. When common sense should tell people when they are being out of line in certain subject areas in a general discussion that is meant for all.
From past discussions on this topic, a lot of the forum members know to stay away from partaking or starting a thread that could result in unreasonable things being said, and general rude behaviour happening.

i totally agree with you honey. i havent noticed any homophobic or racist comments posted but i havent really been on here for a while cos i was getting a bit of grief from someone. xxx

People's common sense doesn't always work... Or not the way we like to think of it.
I don't think I've seen any homophobians here, but then I've only been here for some months...
