actually i believe that NC-17 means no admittance to anyone 17 and under that is what it means in Canada!!!!

Aww... I'm way old enough (22) but I haven't got a hundred posts yet. I'll just have to wait.
I can see the desire to use an adult forum - not because I talk about adult stuff all the time, it's just that I am use to adult conversation where you don't need to be as vigilant about what you say.

yes it does mean no one 17and under http://www.mpaa.org/FlmRat_Ratings.asp so why is the adult forum admitting 17? just asking because it seemed like you are going in accordance to film ratings and if that is the case then only those 18 and over should be admitted into the adult forum. If not my bad  and i'm not trying to oust the younger board members either just looking for a little clarification!!

Hey everyone!
I was going to start writing a fanfiction and then I read somewhere that if the rating was R or NC-17, then it would be immediately moved to the adult forum. However, what if the author of the fanfiction is 17, but doesn't have enough posts? Does this mean the author has to wait in order to post it at all? And just in case, what if the person had already posted some of the story but didn't meet the requirements of entering the adult forum?
I'm 17, but I believe this is actually my first post, meaning I might not be able to post my fanfic. So, thanks to anyone who can help me out  .

Yes, you will need 100 posts before you can be admitted to the Adult Forum to post an R or NC-17 rated fic. I would suggest you continue writing your fanfic and when you have the required 100 posts, the moderators will consider your admittance to the Adult Forum.

I know I'm way too young for the adult forum, and I'm not sure if it's quite my thing anyway - but if you post there does it increase your overall post count?
