Title: Pet peeve
Post by: raquel19 on February 21, 2010, 10:11:47 am

What is your pet peeve?

I hate it when someone is poking me and saying my name while I am talking to someone else.

People cracking their knuckles and back.

People who dont listen to me when I want to say something important.

haha.

^ Ugh, the cracking knuckles thing is disgusting. :P

My pet peeve is when someone talks over you when you're trying to speak, and insists that you take an interest in things they like when they never do the same for you. I used to have a friend like that a couple of years ago, but she was so annoying to be around because you could never get a word in edgeways. :P

I hate it when i'm watching people peck on the computer. Like, type one letter at a time with only one finger on each hand. I don't know why, but it drives me insane!

I also get annoyed when you have someone in class who either 1) asks a lot of obvious questions, 2) feels the need to make a comment on EVERYTHING the teacher says, or 3) laughs at the most inappropriate times!

There's a guy in my clinical psychology class... and anytime the teacher says ANYTHING he laughs. We've come to call him 'awkward laugh guy' She'll say something like "I had a patient suffering from alcoholism and it ruined his family and life." HA HA HA, says ALG. "I worked with sexual offenders in prison, but I wasn't effective with them, so I asked to change assignments." HA HA HA, says ALG. "This guy had a problem, but he couldn't admit it to himself." HA HA HA, says ALG. Seriously, it's ridiculous. And I sat behind him a few classes ago... for all the times he doesn't laugh out loud, he laughs silently! Almost the entire class! and nothing at all was funny. haha, it's sooooo annoying. I really hope he doesn't become a psychologist. He'll be seeing patients and they'll confess something very serious and he'll break out laughing! ::)

I hate when people don't except my compliments. Like if I tell someone "You're hair looks so cute today" and they respond "Oh my god, no it doesn't! It looks horrible."
I wouldn't go out of my way to tell you that if I didn't mean it! So just say thank you!!!

Savethetress, you'll probably won't like me much :P
I don't except compliments by many people because I don't want to believe them. Like everyone always compliments on how gret a pianist I am, when I'm not. I'm still a beginner and done my own compositions. If you compare me to some people I know who can play such an advance, is better, not me. :P

I hate that too Elizabeth -_-
I used to have a guy in my class a few years back, who will always show off and always wanted to be better than everyone.

My other pet peeve is those autotones or w/e they call it in artists voices now-a-days.

^ Show-offs...oh Raquel, I completely agree. I hate people who have to announce when they enter rooms, who always think they're the best at everything - overstated, loud people. Why can't you just speak when you have something interesting/important/nice to say?

I hate it when people are so stuck-up thinking that they're better than everyone else. Gets on my nerves from time to time.

And the cracking... I'm staring at the person, I want to say out-loud, "Why do you DO that?" But I don't want to be rude... I'm curious to see if it actually hurts or makes them feel better?

I do it and I can say that for me, sometimes my fingers ache and to crack them feels like when you stretch first thing in the morning.

I can be very very annoyed when someone for example eats and doesn't clean up. Like they just put the plate on the table and doesn't do anything with it. Or when someone puts the plate in the sink instead of in the dishwasher... That's just annoying!

I also hate it when people don't text or mail you back when you KNOW they've read it! Haha so annoying :P

The cracking is not so much annoying to me, but I just don't like the sound of it... and the way it looks... It looks very freaky and painful lol.

Oh my gosh, I have a friend who does that all the time. She cracks her knuckles constantly, but then she tries to crack everything else too. And she knows it creeps me out, so she tries to do it alot and then laughs about it. ::)

I don't know why she does it though, maybe she used to do it because she was nervous, and then it became a habit?

ughh i crack my knuckles SO bad. It use to never be as bad as it is now. I use to do it because it felt good, and it still feels good now but honestly I dont even know Im doing it.
I do it when Im bored in class, or sitting somewhere I always need to do something with my hands so cracking my knuckles is perfect. It's horrible I crack each finger four different times too =/
I do it so much without realizing it that most of the time I only realize it when they don't crack. and Im like oh damn I must of just cracked them five minutes ago.
Sitting here typing this I probably tried cracking them six times. If not more.
