Title: Slumdog Millionaire
Post by: maryd on June 07, 2009, 06:53:11 am

Has anyone seen this film? I watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it - the acting and scenery and music and everything really came together.

I also read the book, about a year ago now ('Q&A' by Vikas Swarup) which I loved, though there were a lot of differences between film and book.

I watched it I thought it was good. In the beginning I was so confused about the millionaire air show , but i picked up what was going on. The music was great, especially the end. " JAI HOOO" :P

I watched it a while ago and also liked it a lot. The music and all the colors in the film were great and the actors are very good too, especially the children!

Yeah, I just watched this on Sunday. It was very good... like Kathi said, the colours utilised were very vibrant and "Indian" (turquoise, saffron and hot pink) and the acting was universally excellent.

I found it a sad commentary on society as a whole, but at the same time it was very uplifting, especially the spirit and perseverance of Jamal! :)
